Happy Thanksgiving 2013

With daddy being gone in Texas, I wasn't sure what the girls and I would be doing.
We decided it would be fun to go to Jason's grandma's, the girls would be able to have some fun and play with there cousins and I would get to interact with some adults.  It's a win win!

After getting a quick picture of the girls in there adorable dresses (made by mimi) we loaded into the car and headed to grandma Alice and Papa Dennis's.  The weather was absolutely beautiful out.  The girls played with there cousins outside, before coming back inside to eat.

After eating some salad, ham, mash potatoes and stuffing, we were ready for some pumpkin pie.  After eating and clearing the table, we headed back outside to play for a little bit longer, had to let the girls get as much energy out as possible.

We left around 3:45 cause baby sissy had just about enough and was very ready for a nap.
We had a great Thanksgiving and wish that daddy was here to celebrate with us, maybe next year

Happy 3rd Birthday Keira Alexis

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY KEIRA ALEXIS

Your 3 years old today, these 3 years have gone by in the blink of an eye.
You have such a sweet side to you and you can also be the most stubborn person I've met!
You were the best surprise, when I found out I was pregnant with you at 20 weeks.
Your 2" shorter than your older sister and in the last 2 months I have gotten asked more times than I can remember if you two are twins.  I can kinda see how people can think that cause you guys are so close in size and height.
You love to sing but you hate when Kaylee sings along with you.
Your very much into coloring and drawing, you have to hang every picture on the fridge.
Your a total daddy's girl and you miss your daddy so much while he's gone
You love to be outside either jumping on the trampoline or riding your bike (super fast)
I'm so proud that I get the chance to be your mom, that I get to call you mine and that you love me no matter how good of I job I think I'm doing.  I love that you come up to me on a daily basis and tell me "I love you and I don't hate you" LOL.
I love you sweet girl to the moon and back
I hope you enjoy spending your birthday at the zoo
Love ,
Mommy, Daddy, Kaylee & Kendall

Kendall is 13 months old

Kendall Morgan,

Another month has passed and you turned 13 months old on 11.27.13  You are really growing into your personality and little girl you are so funny.  You know that some of the faces you make, make us laugh so you do them often.  And I cant get enough!

You have started to let me know when you don't like something or when you don't get your way, its followed by a really loud high pitch scream.  It's one of those screams that hurt your ears really bad.  I'm really hoping that you grow out of this stage really quick. I'm hoping you don't take after your sister Keira cause at almost 3 she still does that high pitch scream/squeal!

You are still the most chill little girl, it's so crazy.  You are an easy baby (I hope I'm not jinxing myself).  Your my little shopping buddy and are always so good when we are out.  Everyone is so amazed at how good you are when we go to restaurants.

SLEEPING:  This month has been a little rough for you.  Some nights you sleep through the night and other nights you will cry out (just once or twice) and then go back to sleep.  I don't know if your having night terrors (bad dreams) or if it has to do with your teeth, your molars on the top are coming in.  Hopefully they come in soon cause they are making you a little cranky.  You are still taking 2 naps a day (9am & 12:30) sometimes you will take 3.  You love your sleep.  You will only go to sleep if you have your lovey, I think for xmas we will be getting you another one just in case and we'll leave it in the car.

EATING:  You are like a mini human garbage disposal.  You can eat and eat and eat.  I don't know where you put it all.  You love your food!  It's the funniest thing, when you see food your little tongue comes out and you start licking your lips and saying "hmmm".  It makes me laugh.  You are eating people food with us.

Jess Family moves to Texas: we found a house!

Before Jason left for his new job in Texas we started looking on the internet for houses.
We knew we wanted to be close to our only friends (well Jason's friends).
So we started our search in the Bandera area of Texas.
It's a small town in Texas and I found that there wasn't very many house possibilities
But we were able to find 3 houses for Jason to go look at.

It's crazy the type of house you can get there for not much money.
Most of the houses that we found are on some acreage, which is great for the girls.
Jason went and looked at all 2 of the 3 houses.  One of the houses was just to big and on to many acres.  Although we loved the house, it just would have been way to much up keep for me to do, I mean a 3600 square foot house is big and not to mention it was on 15 acres (with lots of grass!).  So we decided against that one, so Jason went to look at our next option.

The house we chose is a 3 bedroom 2 back with a den, formal dining room, big living room, kitchen with a eat in nook and lots of room for the girls to play.  I think we decided we were going to make the den the girls playroom and also have a futon in there as well.  Kaylee and Kendall are going to be sharing a room and in the afternoon nap Kaylee will nap in the playroom and Kendall will nap in there room, so there's no playing around.  I'm glad we got the house situation taken care of and checked off our list.  When Jason is on break he start turning everything on and getting stuff ready for when the girls and I make our way there in January!

So without further ado here is our house we'll be renting and after a year we will either buy a house or build one.

Christmas is coming early to our house

Christmas is going to be a little different this year than any years in the past.
With daddy's new job we never really know when his next bit break will be.
When he left the end of October, he started his job and then got an idea of when his break would be.
He will be home for week (November 30th - December 9).  In that time we will be BUSY BUSY BUSY, soaking in all the time we can with daddy and making lots of memories.

When daddy gets home we will spend that night together before loading up the car and heading to LA for 2 days to spend time at Disneyland.  I cant wait to see it all decked out for Christmas, it's going to be so pretty and I'm even more excited to see the excitement on the girls faces! I cant wait, it should be a blast!

After Disneyland we will be celebrating Christmas as a family, Santa will be visiting early.  After we celebrate just us as a family we will also be celebrating with Jason's mom and step dad and then celebrating with my dad and step mom.

With all that's going on once the Christmas celebrations are over we will only have 1 full day with daddy before he leaves to head back to Texas.  The thing I'm not looking forward to the most is the really long stretch before we'll see him again.  His next well they are drilling is an 8 well pad.  So we wont probably wont see him until we move there in February.  It makes me sad cause that we will be a longer stretch than the one we are doing now and this one is hard so I'm not sure how the girls and I will do.  I'm ready to just be there so that we will be able to see him every 6-10 days and not a month in a half or more.  Maybe I can convince him to let us move sooner!

Here's to making many memories as a family

On Sunday morning (11.17.13)  I set up our tree (I know its not even Thanksgiving yet) and told the girls they could help me decorate it when they got up from there nap.  This year I changed up our tree, in the past our tree colors were red and silver but this year I changed it to silver and gold.  I love it.  After decorating our tree was done I finished decorating the house and hanging up some lights in the house.  The girls are so excited and keep asking if Santa is coming tomorrow.

And in hopes to get the girls to behave a little better, Rudy our elf has come a few days earlier than he did last year.  He was waiting for the girls under the tree this morning (11.19.13) with warm cozy jammies as a gift to them.  It's been about an hour in a half and they have been awesome!  Hopefully Rudy does the trick.  They've been talking about Rudy all morning and when one of them is doing something they aren't suppose to the other will say "don't do that remember Rudy is watching you"

Jess Wedding: our engagement session

On Friday October 25th we had our engagement session.
The day started out like any other, I took Kaylee to school.
I had an apt at 12 to get my hair done and then had a 2 apt to get my makeup done.
My hair turned out good but not quite how I wanted it.
I went and had my makeup done at MAC, I loved it! (I even got fake eye lashes)

Once I got home I ran around like a crazy person trying to get everything ready.
We dropped the girls off at grandma's at 4 and then headed to meet our photographer at 4:30.
Once we met up with her we went to the location she scouted for us.

I had sent her a few pictures a couple weeks prior to our session that I really wanted to recreate.
Our photographer was awesome to work with!
The light was beautiful.
Jason and I had a lot of fun.

After our session, we went and picked up our friends (another couple) and we headed out for date night.  Mine and Jason's last date night before he left.  It was nice to spend it with him and with our friends.  We went to the Cheesecake factory and had a great time, the weather was nice and we were able to eat outside under a fire.  This mama even had a cocktail (I don't really drink ever!).  It was nice to have a night out without the kids.  After dinner and walking around the mall a little bit we headed back.  We dropped our friends off and went to pick up the baby.  I wasn't ready for her to have her first sleep over yet!

I am in love with our pictures and cant wait to print these out and decorate my walls with them.
I'll be using these pictures to send out our Save the Dates (it's going to be so hard to pick which picture to use)....which picture do you like best!?
