A little update on what's been going on with us

Happy Friday!  A lot has been going on with us, so I just wanted to do a little update.

1. The most exciting thing for our family was that we bought a house.  While Jason was home on his 2 week break we went looking at houses (6 of them).  After seeing all the houses we narrowed them down to 2.  We picked the one that would be best for our family and went back to look at it one more time before making an offer.  We did one last walk through and talked before we decided to go put an offer in.  This whole process went really easy for us.  We made an offer they countered, we countered back and they countered and we then accepted there last counter.  We are set to close and get our keys on June 18th.  It's so exciting and we cant wait to start doing some things to the house to make it ours.  The plan before we move in is to redo the floors in the kitchen with wood tile and paint.  The house is a 3bd 2ba 4 car garage on 2 acres(2 car garage attached to the house and a separate 2 car garage next to the house)  Eventually we are going to turn the garage attached to the house into a bedroom and playroom.  The kitchen is outdated so we plan to update it soon, we are going to paint the cabinets and put granite countertops in and a backsplash and hardware. We have so many plans and I cant wait to show you guys everything that we do.  I cant wait to paint and decorate the girls rooms.

2. Miss Kendall is becoming quite the model.  It started when we did a feature and giveaway featuring Ryder Rhenn and Nicole asked if she could use a picture of Kendall on her website, how cool right!?!  Then on instagram I entered her a search for a brand ambassador for a baby moccasin company and she was 1 of 6 chosen to model and receive free moccs in exchange for pictures and being on there website.  Check out babylupo.com if your interested in getting super cute moccs for your little one.  And lastly we were contacted by Shelby Chic, she wanted Kendall to model her headbands.  She makes the cutest headbands so I couldn't say no.  She sends Kendall headbands and I take pictures and she puts Kendall on her website, IG and facebook.  This whole thing has been really cool and exciting!

3.  As of Wednesday I am 7 weeks post breast augmentation.  In the beginning the recovery process was hard.  I had the procedure done through my arm pits.  I had a hard time lifting my arms up, it felt like my tendons were gonna rip and it hurt like hell.  After 3 weeks I was feeling defeated and like I wanted to give up cause it didn't seem like I was making a lot of progress.  But I stuck with my arm exercises and it got a lot easier.  After a month things were way better and my arm motion was getting way better.  I was going in for weekly visits and now I'm going in for monthly visits.  I am loving the way that they turned out, I love that they look natural and they aren't to big and I just love the fact that I actually have something there.

Celebrating Kaylee's 5th birthday at Sea World

When celebrating my kids birthdays I think, celebrating with family and friends and having a big party where everyone there is celebrate our girl.  The laughter from all the cousins running around having a great time.  The countless hours making all the party décor and planning the food and desserts.  But this year is going to be different for our big girl.  We will not be celebrating with lots of family or hearing the laughter from cousins or spending countless hours making party décor or deciding on food.  I knew when we moved to TX that holidays and birthdays were going to be a lot different then we were use to, but I wanted to make sure to try and make each of those holidays or birthdays special.

So when Kaylee's 5th birthday came faster than I wanted, like it does every year.  I knew we needed to make this birthday special for her.  I felt bad cause she wanted to have this big Frozen party with all her friends (cousins) and family.  I remember the sad look on her face when I told her we couldn't have a birthday like that cause we live here in TX and everyone else lives in CA.

I knew for her birthday I wanted to do something fun as a family.  So to the internet I went to find something fun in our area.  Sea World was the number search and I thought it would be fun since I'd never been to a Sea World and neither had the girls that that would be fun for all of us.

We celebrated Kaylee's birthday early on May 4th cause daddy was home.  We made the hour drive to Sea World and I will not forget the excited coming from the back seat as the girls saw the whale statue, the huge rollercoasters and the colorful waterpark.  Walking in to the park the girls were jumping up and down with so much excitement, I knew it was going to be a good day and that we were in for a fun day.

We had a great time as a family and Kaylee said she had an awesome birthday!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY KAYLEE ELIZABETH

A Freshly Picked Moccasin Review & Giveaway

Happy Cinco de Mayo, ya'll.  I have another fun feature and giveaway, one that you've seen many times on my blog before. Freshly Picked is a favorite in our house.  These moccasins are amazing for my little Miss.  She finally started walking 2 months ago and Freshly Picked moccasins were the shoes to help her.  They are extremely comfortable, they form to her little foot, they stay on her little foot/ankle and she loves them.  She gets so excited when I ask her if she wants to put her moccasins on and she gets really mad when I take them off.

The quality of these Freshly Picked moccasins are amazing, they are very durable (Kendall wears them outside on the gravel, the side walk, the grass, the dirt and inside), they stand up to her roughness and still look brand new, I love that I'm starting to see her little foot print on the bottom of each of them.  These moccasins are unisex and I love that they can be pretty much worn with anything.  The colors are very vibrant and you will never get tired of all the compliments you get wearing them.

Pain in beauty!

Susan from Freshly Picked is offering one of my lucky readers the chance to win a pair of moccasins in the color and size of your choice! Make sure you have a valid email address so I can get in touch with you if you win.

GOOD LUCK & HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!
