Show & Tell - Home Edition

I am linking up with one of my favorite bloggers Becky From Mrs. to Mama
for week one of her Show & Tell Monday link up.

1. If you were searching for a home now, tell me what would on your "MUST" list.
We are currently renting until our lease is up in May 2013 then we will begin our house search.  But if we were searching right now some of our must haves would be...

* 4 bedrooms (so that each kid had their own room)
* 2 baths or more
* spacious kitchen (cause we like to cook) that opens up into the living room
* a big backyard (for the kids) so my hubby can build a pool - thats what he does
* a fireplace
* open floor plan

2. Show me a favorite room in a home (either your home or any home)
A favorite room in a home for me would have to be the living room cause we spend a lot of time in our living room from playing to having family movie nights. (here is what I would love for my living room to look like when we buy a house)

3. If you could have any room redone, tell me which one it would be and what you would like done.
I guess it depending on the house we buy.  But if the kitchen needed to be redone to our liking I would probably pick that.  I would make sure it had all new appliances, we like granite counter tops and a cool backsplash.  (heres a few kitchens I love)

4. Tell me where your favorite stores are to shop for decor.
A few of my favorites are....
* Target
* Pier 1
* Michael's
* ebay

5. Show me your dream home (it can be your home, if you already have your dream home)

29 week bumpdate

How far along? 29 weeks
How big is the baby? baby is the size of BUTTERNUT SQUASH.  Weighing almost 3lbs and is around 15" long.
Weight Gain/Loss: not sure, don't have a dr appt until Aug 23rd
Maternity clothes? still wearing yoga pants and tank tops or my pajama bottoms
Stretch marks? no new ones!
Sleep: sleep has been ok.  I've been staying up to late at night so I need to go to bed earlier.  I usually wake up once at night around 2:00am to go to the bathroom and then can fall right back to sleep.  I haven't been napping during the day, so come 6:00pm I am tired and ready for bed.
Best moment this week: revealing baby girls name.
Miss Anything? not being out of breathe all the time, not being tired and being so sore!
Movement: LOTS, she is most active mid afternoon & at night.
Anything making you queasy or sick: if I don't drink enough water or if I do to much I feel like I need to be sick.
Gender: GIRL - KENDALL MORGAN

Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: braxton hicks, tired and lower back is super sore especially when I do a lot of cleaning!
Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: washing all her clothes, getting my hospital bag ready (yes I'm one of those people who have their bag ready way ahead of time, you never know) and getting all the goodies I ordered for her and the girls in the mail.
How the siblings are doing: the girls are doing great.  Kaylee continues to ask me if baby sissy is coming out of my mouth and she likes to feel when Kendall is kicking, she thinks it's pretty awesome!  Keira has been giving baby sissy lots and lots of kisses!  I cant wait to see how they will interact with her once she arrives.

Thursday Thoughts

1.  I am having a lot fun ordering things for Kendall.  I cant wait to get them.
Awhile back I asked for some opinions on colors of pettirompers for sibling pictures I plan to take once Kendall gets here.  Since they can get expensive, I've decided that since Kaylee has a brown one I'm gonna leave her's brown and order TURQUIOSE for Keira and WHITE for Kendall.
Thank you Katie (from Loves of Life) for recommending The HairBow Company.  They have great stuff and I've gotten the cute rompers, bloomers and so many cute bows for the girls.  Also last night I ordered a bunch of stuff from Sears for all 3 girls.  Most of it being fall school clothes for Kaylee.  Next week should be a really good mail week!

(I ordered these off etsy - the flowers were get 12 for $5.00....SCORE and the hat is part of her coming home outfit)
2.  In a giveaway I won a free "school days" book from Paper Coterie.
I had until August 19th to use the code, so yesterday I headed outside just Kaylee & I to take pictures.  She took some really cute ones.  Here is a little sneak peek!

3.  I have been on pinterest printing out printables for the girls room.
I found this one printable you could customize, it was a chevron print where you can pick the color and then enter yours or yours kids initials in the middle.
So I made 3 of them for each of the girls to put in their room.
(from left to right - Kaylee, Keira & Kendall)

4.  On Monday while the girls were at grandma's all day I decided to venture out and try to find something to wear to my friends wedding in September.  I went to Target, Macy's, JCPenny, Ross & Marshalls and I found NOTHING.  Nothing looked right or the fit was way to short.  Its very frusterating.  Any ideas on where I can find a cute skirt or something cute to wear.  She's getting married September 14th.  So a month away.  I was looking now cause places are starting to bring out their fall/winter stuff.  HELP!

5.  I cant believe I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow and the countdown to baby Kendall to be in the single digits.  This is where I'm going to complain a little bit, I am so ready to be done with this pregnancy.  I am very uncomfortable, I sweat my butt off all the time in this heat, I have lower back & hip pain.  Last weekend we went to Jason's moms to swim and I laid out in the pool on a raft and got the worst sun burn, so I've been complaining about that.  BOOO!

6.  Lately the girls have been BAD.  It seems like from the time they wake up in the morning till they go to bed at night they are arguing over toys, one of them if hitting the other or they aren't listening to a word I say.  It can be very frusterating and I'm trying my hardest not to yell at them and just put them in time out cause I'm trying not to stress myself out.  But it can be really annoying when it goes on all day long.  Kaylee is on this kick of pushing & hitting Keira. Now Keira thinks its ok to hit!  There are a few minutes at a time during the day that they actually play nicely together.  Hopefully with Kaylee starting school 9-12 and being able to take a nap each day will help with her attitude and being nicer.

A day in the life of Kaylee & Keira

I again just wanted to thank all of you so much for your sweet comments both here and on instagram on our baby girls name.  I love her name and I am so glad to finally be able to start calling her by her name and not "baby K" anymore.

* * * * *

Lasy Friday morning started off like most mornings do
Jason wakes me up around 6:45am to say good bye
Kaylee usually comes into our room around 7:15am to watch cartoons while I sleep for a little bit longer and then I can usually hear Keira around 7:30.
I usually roll out of bed around 8am to get our day started
But today 8/10/12
Jason said bye like normal
Kaylee came in like normal
She let me sleep till 8:30 and then we got up
BUT the after getting up I peeked my head into the girls room and Keira was still sleeping!
So I made breakfast for Kaylee and I (we both had a bagel with peaches)
At 9:30 checked in on Keira again who was still sleeping
I read my blogs while Kaylee watched cartoons
10:00am - I heard a cute little voice calling for me from her room, Keira was finally awake!
This has NEVER happened, she's NEVER slept that long.
Growth spurt, I think so!
She woke up in a great mood and the girls have been playing nice all morning.

 10:45am - it was already 85 degrees out
So we decided to take out this snake sprinkler that Kaylee got for her birthday so that the girls could run around and have some fun before nap time.  The girls got their suits on and we headed outside to play.  I hooked the hose up to snake and turned on the water, it filled the snake and the water started coming out...not 5 minutes later the face of the snake blew a HUGE hole in it.  The girls were so upset!!  So mom had to save the day, I cleaned out their pool and filled that up for them to play in.

look at that look!!

12:00 - we came inside, dried off and got undies and diapers on while I went in to make us some lunch

12:15 - lunch is served, we all had chicken nuggets!  YUM

12:30 - the girls went down for a nap and mommy had a mid afternoon snack.  I was craving a chocolate shake but since I couldn't leave the house while the girls napped I had to make due with vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.

While the girls napped, I relaxed on the couch...my feet and back are sore!  I watched re-runs of It's a Baby Story and Sex and the City.  I heard Keira talking in there for a little bit before there was total silence.  While relaxing I also did a load of dishes and folded a load of clean clothes.

3:30 - the girls woke up from their nap / they had a snack and watched cartoons

5:00 - grandma came to pick up Kaylee.  Keira is always sad to see Kaylee leave on Friday's.  Keira gets mad that she doesn't get to go!

5:30 - sissy and I had some snuggle time while we waited for daddy to get home

6:00pm daddy arrived home and Keira jumped off my lap so fast to run over and say hi to daddy

6:15pm we decided to go out to eat for dinner, we had pizza

7:00pm we sat on the couch and watched some TV while Keira brought us books, so as she brought them out we read them and she would go get more.

7:30pm Keira got a diaper change and put her jammies on to get ready for bed.

8:00pm - little Miss was ready for bed.  So we said our good nights and put her to bed.  Daddy and I snuggled up on the couch to watch some Olympics.

Baby K's Name Reveal

So as much as I wanted to try and keep baby #3's name a secret until after I had her
I just cant do it!  I give people who keep the name a secret a lot of credit.
I am NOT good at keeping things like this a secret.
We've had family and friends asking us if we have a name and it's so hard not to just say the name.
So after talking with Jason we decided we would reveal our baby girls name

Jason and I went back and forth on whether or not to say the name cause Jason doesn't want to hear if people don't like it or if they have an opinion on what we should have named OUR kid.  But he said its our kid, we agreed on this name and if people don't like it then to bad!  My thoughts exactly!

It took us a couple weeks to agree upon the first name of our baby girl.
There is no meaning behind her name, we knew that we wanted to stick with a K name.
So I wrote down all the K names that I liked and I would read them off to Jason and if he didn't like them he would be sure to say he didn't like them, so they got crossed off the list.
We then had it narrowed down to the 4 names we liked which I posted about.  After having some feed back I took one of the names off cause it sounded to close to Kaylee's name.  Then as the weeks went on the other two names we had on our list, I just wasn't feeling them.  So I talked with Jason and we agreed upon her first name.

The middle name was pretty much the same way.
I told Jason that I didn't want the girls to all have the same initials, so the baby couldn't have a middle name that started with A or E.  I went online and typed "middle names that go with ______"  I was able to get a lot of middle names and I would write them down.  Jason and I would sit down pretty much the same way we did when decided on the first name and I would read off the names and we would cross names off that didn't flow right or that he didn't like until we had it down to the only name that both of us liked...

So without further ado here is our baby girls name!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

8/13/2012

Today is daddy's birthday.  He turns the big 28.
So instead of our usual draw daddy a sign and take pictures
Kaylee suggested we write on the chalk board and so I obliged.
We then got dressed and headed out front to take some pictures of the girls.
They actually coroperated and we were able to get some cute pictures.

We sent daddy a text with all the pictures for him since the girls were still sleeping when he left for work and then girls wont be home till 8 tonight.  So they wont get to see daddy till then.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST DADDY AROUND!!

After talking with Jason we decided that we are going to tell family the babies name so that means check back tomorrow for baby K's name reveal!!

Weight Gain/Loss: not sure, don't have a dr appt until Aug 23rd

Sleep: sleep has been pretty good actually.  Now that my sinus cold is gone I've been sleeping through the night.  There are some nights I wake up once and other nights I'm able to sleep all the way through which is fantastic.
Best moment this week: finalizing baby girls name and trying to decide if were going to tell people or wait till she's here.  I don't know if I can keep it a secret for the next 12 weeks!  If Jason says were telling our family and friends then I will reveal baby K's name on MONDAY!
Miss Anything? not being so tire, having to pee so much & having such a short fuse with everyone
Movement: lots of movement, kicks and I even hiccups.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not this week
Gender: GIRL

Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: braxton hicks, tired and lower back is super sore especially when I do a lot of cleaning!
Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: finishing the little things to get ready for baby K, setting up the bassinet and figuring out how were going to arrange the car with all the car seats.  I need to wash all her clothes, blankets & towels.  I'm also going to be doing some school shopping for Kaylee, she starts preschool 5 days a week for 3 hours a day on Aug 27th. Also hoping I passed my glucose test.  I haven't heard from the Dr so I guess no news is good news, its been over a week since I took it.
How the siblings are doing: the girls have been pretty much the same. Keira has been even more interested in the belly this week.  She likes to lift my shirt up and talk to the baby, its very cute.  The other night Kaylee came out from her room and said "look everyone I'm just like mommy".
