It's the most wonderful time of the year

{12.18.12}
Before doing our salt dough ornaments, while the girls were looking cute in their Christmas jammies I wanted to try and get pictures of all 3 of them.  Lets just say trying to get a picture of all 3 wasn't really happening, Keira wasn't feeling it!  I then took pictures of just Kaylee and Kendall and then just pictures of Kaylee and Keira.  I love these!

Salt Dough Ornaments

With Kaylee on Winter Break until January 1st, 2013 I knew I needed to come up with some fun things for the girls to do to keep them from getting on my nerves and from fighting with each other.  The weather is suppose to be COLD & RAINY this week so I had to figure out things for them to do indoors.  So on Tuesday 12.18.12 I decided that we would make some salt dough ornaments for our tree and to give as gifts.
On Monday night when the girls returned from Grandma's they were surprised to find that RUDY had brought us all Christmas pajamas.  The girls loved them.  On Tuesday morning I put the girls in their new jammies and we headed to the kitchen to have some FUN FUN FUN!

I got all the ingrediants out and set up.  The girls each helped pour the stuff in.  I mixed it, kneeded it and then rolled it out for the girls.  They then choose which cookie cutter they were going to use.  I then put them on a cookie sheet.  When they were all done using all the dough I put them in the oven for 2 hours.  I let them cool {while they were cooling the girls took a nap}

After nap time we didn't get around to painting the ornaments, so we made it a two day event.  I got all the stuff ready and then the girls excitedly ran into the kitchen to paint.  I feel so bad cause this was Keira's first time painting (such a bad mom!)  They both had a lot of fun paiting.

The 3 K's are for our Christmas tree for each girl.  And the rest the girls are giving as gifts to family.  Handmade gifts are the best!  I might make it a new tradition to make something for family members to give as a gift from the girls!

The girls had so much fun making the ornaments that we made them again the next day.

On Wednesday night {12.19.12} we decided to take the "whole" family including our dogs out to look at Christmas lights.  We drove around our neighborhood and stumbled upon this house!  Can we say "holy lights".  The lights on the house changed to music.  The girls thought it was the coolest thing ever.

On Thursday morning {12.20.12} after looking at my IG I saw someone had posted about making snowflakes and sending them to CT.  They are collecting snowflakes from all over the world, so that when the kids return to a different school come January they want to have set up like a Winter Wonderland in there for them.  I thought it would be a great idea to help out.  So I cut up a bunch of snowflakes and the girls colored them.  They thought it was cool to send them to the kids.  It feels really good to help these kids and to give back.

Baking cookies with my girl

While grocery shopping on Monday (12.10.12) afternoon I picked up some pre made dough sugar cookies to makes with the girls and then have them decorate them after.
On Tuesday afternoon I told Kaylee if she took a good nap that when she woke up we would have mommy & Kaylee time making the sugar cookies and then we would wait for Keira to get up to frost and decorate them.  She fell asleep in 10 minutes after laying down, which NEVER happens...she must have really wanted to make those cookies!
She took a good 2 hour nap and when she came out she asked if we could make the cookies.  Since both Keira and Kendall were both sleeping I thought it was the perfect time to have just us time and have some fun as well.  She loved it and had a great time doing the cookies.

While we waited for our cookies to bake I painted her piggies festive for Christmas

I didn't get any pictures of the finished decorated cookies...sorry
but the girls and I had fun!

Kendall's 1st smiles

Seeing your newborn baby smile for the first time is pure joy.
After the school shooting on Friday the smiles she gives every day are that much more special.
I don't want to take the little things like a smile for granted.
Being able to wake up each morning to these smiles are priceless.
I will forever treasure these moments I have with her and her sisters

She flashed her first gummy smile on 12.6.12 and has been smiling ever since
I just cant get enough of her and that smile.

Iphone photo dump

Lately its been a lot easier to capture pictures of all my girls with my phone
I have so many pictures on my phone I wish I could post all of them but here are some of my favorites from this past week!

Taking silly pictures while we waited for daddy to come back from getting Kaylee & lunch

I cant get enough of those squishy cheeks!

My little shopping buddy.

Kendall got an early Christmas present

On Wednesday 12.12.12 I did my first SOLO trip with all 3 girls to the Dr's and let me tell you it will NOT be happening again.  EPIC FAIL!  The two older girls were very naughty but the littlest sister was the best one of all, sleeping the whole time!

This picture makes me smile!

Keira is still obsessed with her little sister and is by her at all times!

Your probably wondering where pictures of Kaylee are, well she's 3.5 and didn't want any part in taking pictures with us.  I do have a whole post coming up with pictures of just her.
Have a great week
