Thankful Thursday

I cant believe it's Thursday already, I cant wait for the weekend. It's going to be full of sunshine and playing with my girls!

1. I'm thankful that the sun has returned and my girls & I can get out of the house for playdates, shopping and trips to the park.  Thankful that all the couped up energy can be released while running around outside.  Thank you sun for returning and staying!

2. I'm thankful for nap time!  The silence/mommy time I get while it's silent in the house.  I'm thankful that I can get both my girls down for a nap at the same time!  Oh the joy of mommy time, to relax while kicking my feet up to watch One Life to Live

3. I'm thankful that I have 2 healthy & happy little girls.  These girls are my life.  The way they adore eachother is priceless...I better enjoy it while I can because for I know it they'll be fighting over clothes, make up & boys!!

4. I'm thankful for this guy!  Without him the possibility of me being a stay at home mom wouldn't exist!  He is our provider and my rock!  I couldn't have found a better person to be with and a better father for my girls

5. I'm thankful for my family.  For all the help they've given us.  I miss my parents since they moved to CO, but I cant wait to see them in May.

Embrace The Camera

Kaylee is such the character these days.  And she has a love for these boots like no other.  She wears these boots with anything...just her diaper, her pajamas and a cute outfit.  Before nap time today she wanted her boots on and to go outside, so outside we went.  Its gorgeous outside today.

The SUN is BACK!

All I can say is thank god, the sun is back and that means we can go back outside again.  My kid was going and was driving mama CRAZY being stuck in the house.  Yesterday was gorgeous outside, so we got dressed and while sissy was sleeping, Kaylee got to spend some time with mommy all by herself.  We played in the front yard.  She chased me, I chased her, we marched and she played with her flower.  It was a wonderful time up until is was time to come inside to take a nap.  Lets just say, I think my whole neighborhood could hear that my kid didn't want to go inside.  I was holding her hand walking to the front door, while tell her ok time to go inside for a nap..she threw herself down and started SCREAMING at the top of her lungs!  Oh my that girl has an attitude!  So I let her cry and then once she settled down we came in and she took a nap.  Once she woke up we headed back out front to play until Grandma came to pick her up.  She loves to be outside and if she could she would spend all day out there.

So thank you sun for gracing us with your presence so that my kid could go outside and play!  The next 2 weeks are looking GREAT, the forecast is calling for SUN!  We have 3 play dates in the next 2 weeks which I'm excited about.  I love the sun, come on summer hurry up and get here!  I hear my pool calling for me and I think Kaylee hears it too! LOL

Keira is 4 months old

Wow, really 4 months old already!  It feels like I just found out I was pregnant and then leaving the hospital with her and having this fear of how the heck am I going to handle 2 kids under 2.  But here we are 4 months later and things couldn't be any better.  My fear was gone by the 2nd week having her home.  My fear of Kaylee being jealous was gone by the end of week 1.  Kaylee loves her sister and Keira loves when Kaylee talks to her.  The one thing I wish for is that Keira would sleep through the night, but hey not everyone can get that lucky.  Well I did with my first one so why not think I could have it with my second.

Keira had her 4 month check up last week.  The doctor said she is perfect, well DUH I knew that already!  He said she is growing great.  I was a little worried about the flat spot she has on the back of her head, the Dr wasn't worried he said it was fine.  So I guess I can worry less about that then.  He asked me how much she was eating and I said 6oz every 3-4 hours and he then asked if she spits up after every time she eats, I said NO not every time but most of the time.  Well he told me to feed her 4oz every 2 hours which has helped so much with her spitting up.  I guess the saying they'll stop eating when there full isn't to true cause my kid will just eat and then spit up half of it when she's done!

STATS:
Weight: 14lbs 13oz (65%)
Height: 25.5" (75%)
Head Cir: 41
Diaper Size: 2
Clothes: 3-6 months
Shoe Size: 1
Hair Color: brown
Eye Color: dark blue

She is my little snuggle bug.  When she was smaller she didn't want to snuggle, she didn't like to be rocked, she liked to put herself to sleep without being held.  I will admit I was a little sad cause Kaylee was the opposite she wanted all of that.  Well as Keira is getting bigger she loves to snuggle and be rocked.  I love that time we get to spend just her and I.  I am trying to cherish every minute with her as she is my last.  So I'm trying to savor it all.  If I could have one wish, it would be for time to slow down just a little bit.  My babies are growing up so fast.  My oldest is almost 2 and my littlest just turned 4 months.  But I do love this stage she's at, her little personality is shining through and she's a character.

Here's some new things she's done in the last month
  • She had enough hair for a little pony tail (it was so cute) 3/5/11
  • She can grasp onto toys 3/17/11
  • She's discovered her hands (they are always in her mouth)
  • She loves her jumperoo
  • She's a mommy's girl (yeah at least one of my kids is)
  • 1st time in her bumpo 3/8/11
  • 1st big belly laugh (cutest thing ever) 3/16/11
  • 1st time eating rice cereal (she loves it) 3/21/11
  • She's trying to hold her own bottle 3/25/11
  • She wakes up 1 time during the night
  • She eats rice cereal 2 times a day (breakfast and dinner)
  • She sat up unassisted for about 10 seconds
  • She can stand by herself for about a minute
  • She doesn't like to do tummy time at all
  • She can lift her head off the floor while on her back
I love that I am able to stay home with my kids so that I am able to witness all their firsts for myself.  I cherish this time with them cause I know once they get bigger their not going to want to snuggle or get a million kisses from mama. LOL
