A Day of FIRSTS

Yesterday the weather was horrible outside, it rained all day! So the girls and I spent the day in our pj's and played.

Keira had a big day of FIRSTS yesterday.  She had her 1st experience with trying baby food (which she didn't really like, it was peaches).  She's not quite ready to start on baby food yet.  So we'll wait another week and then try again.  She made the funniest faces when I gave her the few little bites.

She sat in her bumpo for the first time and seemed to really like it.  She was able to look around more and watch Kaylee play.  I sat her in it a couple weeks back but she didn't really like it, she cried the whole time.  But this time she loved it.

She sat up unassisted for about 10 seconds.  Long enough for me to take a picture and then she sandwhiched in half.  Not quite ready to sit up unassisted yet.  At 4 months Kaylee was sitting up unassisted.

Also she grasped onto a rattle for the 1st time.  My baby girl is getting so big and I cant believe she had all thsoe first's in one day!  I'm such a proud mommy.

This picture just melts my heart

On another note, today is National World Down Syndrome Day.  I am a proud supporter and know first hand what it's like to know someone who has down syndrome.  My little brother Justin was born 7 years ago with down syndrome.  He is the sweetest, most lovable kid you'll meet.  He has come along so well with his developmental milestones.  I am a proud sister.  Jojo loves you Justin!

  1. What adorable adorable pictures! My boys are exactly 2 years and 2 weeks apart so I know where you are coming from being a SAHM with them!! It's hard but so worth it!
