Gettin Crafty Friday

1. Today has been filled with getting craft items and doing crafts.
We got up this morning got the girls ready, I cashed in all my change and then we headed to Joann's Fabric so that I could have some fun.  Let me just tell you I was like a kid in a candy store with all their fun fabrics.  I got my fabrics I wanted in order to make Kaylee's birthday outfit.  Then I got 5 other fabrics, 2 patterns, 2 foam circles to make wreaths, some yard and a few other things I needed.  ( the fabrics on the far RIGHT are what I'm using to make Kaylee's birthday outfit, this is the only sneak peek you get)
I'm thinking of using the pink fabrics to make skirts for the girls for Easter.

2. With all my goodies I got today, while the girls took a nap I made a Valentine's Day wreath.  I think it turned out to cute.  I'll also be doing another VDay craft tomorrow with the girls.  Kaylee is headed to Grandma's so we'll do her's tomorrow and maybe I'll do mine with Keira tonight.  More one on one time with my girls. This is with a medium foam.

3. Using those fabrics this is the skirt I'm planning to make the girls.  I found it on Pinterest and the tutorial is really easy to follow and easy for my beginner level!  Hope you guys don't get to tired of me talkiong about sewing....LOL (cute right?!)

4. We don't have any plans so far for this weekend.  I'm sure we'll be hanging out around the house.  I'll be doing more crafts with the girls and also doing some tot school.  If the weather is nice enough maybe we'll have a little fun down at the park.

5. Our dog Kona is getting on my nerves!  She is prego with her 4th liter and all this dog wants to do is EAT!  She follows you around the house hoping you'll drop some food or she steals food from the girls!  I don't remember her being like this with her other 3 liters! She gets fed 2 times a day, maybe this means she's got a lot of little babies in there!

6. I also recieved 2 packages in the mail today, again like a kid on Christmas.  On package was from my mom she sent me a bunch of sewing stuff to get me started, she also sent these applesause drink things for the girls and some of mine and brothers ornaments from when we were little. My other package was from Target, my friend got me an egift card. I love Target, I mean who doesn't. right?!  So with my money I got a new straightner cause my old one took a crap (this one is pretty pink), 3 new nail polishes (I've become obsessed, plus Kaylee likes her nails painted) and 6 8x10 frames so that I can add to my gallery wall.

Have a great weekend, maybe on Monday I'll have some fun sewing and crafts to share!

  3. Love the fabrics you picked out!! I always have to use all my willpower not to buy tons of fabrics when I go to the fabric store....I could easily end up with way more fabric then I'd ever use LOL. Can't wait to see how the circle skirt turns out!

  7. I can't believe you did that wreath during ONE nap time! Once I did a yarn wreath and it took me DAYS to finish with all of that wrapping. It was pretty big though! Love all of your crafty stuff-lots of fun!
