31 week bumpdate

How far along? 31 weeks - 62 days to go or 9 weeks
How big is the baby? baby is the size of 4 navel oranges.  Approx 16.25" long & weighs about 3.3lbs.  This week baby Kendall is gaining more weight as baby fat is filling in under the skin.  Her color is becoming less red and more pink in color.  By now Kendall's irises can dilate and respond to changes in light.
Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained a total of 19lbs so far, I have another dr appt Sept 6th.
Maternity clothes? I'm getting limited on things that fit.  With all 3 of my pregnancies I never went out and bough maternity clothes, I just made my regular clothes work.  When I get towards the end of my pregnancies my regular clothes are out and Jason's shirts are in and even some of those aren't working!  I have 2 tanks that fit and my leggings are what I wear most days.  I'm ready to be back into my old clothes again.
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: knock on wood, my sleeping has been good.  I wake up around 3-4am to go to the bathroom and then I can come back to bed and fall right back to sleep.  We've been going on walks every night after dinner which really wears me out and I'm falling asleep by 9:30.  Sometimes I wake up with really tight fingers in the morning, not sure why.  But hopefully I can continue to sleep good.
Best moment this week: Kaylee having a great first day at Preschool. She's getting to be such a big girl.  I'm glad she loves school.  I'm loving all the extra time that I get to spend with Keira too.
Miss Anything? not having my boobs touch my belly (sorry TMI), my boobs this time around are so much bigger, they hurt and they are heavy and they are starting to leak a little bit.  Sneezing and not peeing a little each time, and being out of breathe.
Movement: not as many kicks, but lots of rolling and being up in my ribs at times
Anything making you queasy or sick: nope
Gender: GIRL - KENDALL MORGAN

Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: braxton hicks, tiredness & leaking boobs!
Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: happy and ready to have this little girl here!
Looking forward to: almost being done, is it too early to want to have my little girl here already!  I'm hoping for the next 9 weeks to go by fast. I want to get some more fabric and make her 2 more blankets and get a few more things for her and then I'll be setting up her swing and bassinet in our room.
How the siblings are doing: they are pretty much the same this week as last week.  Still semi insterested.  Kaylee wants to know when she'll be here and asks everytime she comes in our room if the bouncy in there is for Kendall.  Keira is a little less interested in the belly this week and more interested in her babies and putting her babies in the bouncy.  But this week has been an adjustment for both girls.  Kaylee is adjusting to going to school in the mornings now and Keira is adjusting to actually being here and spending more time with mommy.  We are also working on learning things with Keira as well.  This week we've been working on puzzles, colors and body parts.

Gettin serious for a second...

Ok I'm gonna get serious for a second.
After we had Keira, Jason & I talked about him getting the snip (you know a vasectomy)
Well as you can see he never went and had it done cause hello I'm pregnant with baby #3.

Now that baby #3 is due to make her appearance around Novemeber
We've been talking whether he should get a vasectomy or if I should get the tubal sterilization.
We talked and decided that it would be better for me to get the tubal.
You know what the worst thing you can do is go watch videos on how they do it.
I've never had surgery before and the thought is freaking me out.

It seems like an easy surgery, they can do the surgery the day after I have Kendall
Making 2 little slits under my belly button, they will cut my tubes and cauterize them.
What makes me the most nervous is if I'll have to go under general anesthesia  or if I'll have to have an epidural to numb me up.  When delivery both my girls I never got an epidural cause they freak me out to much.  So I've been stressing out a little bit thinking about all of this.

I'm sure I'm the only one who's had this done, if you've had it done any advise would be much appriciated!  I'm getting my tubes tied cause we are totally done having babies.  3 is a good number for us and I know I wont regret getting it done.

I dont know, even though this is my 3rd pregnancy I am still really nervous about delivery and with her due date fastly approaching I'm getting even more nervous onto of being nervous about having my tubes tided.  I'm nervous of the unknown cause every delivery is different.  I don't know maybe I'm worrying to much and it will all be fine.

On a lighter note Kaylee has been in school for 4 days now.
She LOVES it!
I knew she would.
Tonight is back to school night for the parents, so Jason & I will be going to that.
Doing the drive through and dropping her off is a life saver and I know it will be an even bigger life saver when Kendall arrives cause I wont have to unload the girls out of the car at all.  YAY
I am really glad that she is liking it and I cant wait to see all the new things she learns this year.

Keira is on day 4 of learning & one on one time with mommy.
We do about 30-45 minutes of learning each day, cause any more than that she starts to not want to sit and learn anymore.  So instead of forcing her I just let her do her own thing after the 30 minutes.  I don't want her to lose interest and not want to do it at all.

 * She knows where all her body parts are
* We've been working on colors and in 4 days she knows BLACK & RED
* She can do all of her puzzles with NO problems
* Next week we will be working on numbers and shapes while still working on colors

I am really proud of her and I also love the time that we get to spend together.
She is seriously a funny kid!

The other day during nap time I decided to redo one of my wreaths in the house, that didn't really match with anything.  So I went searching on Pinterest for some ideas on Halloween wreaths.  I found one that I really like so I put my little spin on it.  I love the way it turned out.  I got the little owls at Michael's (they represent my 3 girls).  I am slowly starting to decorate for Halloween already!

Keira is 21 months old

Keira Alexis - How is it that my sweet sweet "baby" isn't a baby anymore?!  You are 3 months away from being 2 years old.  How is this possible?  You are turning into such a big girl and your so sweet, when you want to be!  I'm looking forward the one on one time that we'll get to be spending together while your sister is in school in the morning.  I do feel bad sometimes that you didn't get that one on one time with me like Kaylee did when she was little, so I want to savor each moment that we'll have together.  Playing, learning, and doing things just the two of us.  I know you enjoy our time together when Kaylee goes to grandma's on Friday's.  I just want you to feel special and not feel over shaddowed by your big sister or your soon to be little sister.

SLEEPING: oh boy....nap time has become a chore with you and your sister.  While your sister was attending school M-W you sleep like a champ, you go down with no problems and I don't hear a peep out of you.  But now that Kaylee is done with school, nap time has become such a hassle.  You guys will sit in there and play and squeal...its been taking you guys almost an hour before you final are sleeping.  I'm hoping that once your sister goes back to school and with you doing fun stuff with mommy during the day that both of you will be tired and just go right to sleep like you use to!

EATING:  you are still an awesome eater.  I have NO problems with you and food.  You and food are like BFFs.  You are not afraid to try new things.  Some of your favorite foods are: raspberries, bananas, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, fries, rice, broccoli, spinach.  You love it all.  I hope as you get older you'll continue to love eating good.

STATS:
weight: 23lbs
height: 34.5" long
clothes: 24 months
shoes: size 5
diaper: size 4
teeth: 12 with your 4 canines about to come in (I can see the white spots on all)

FAVORITE BOOK:  anything Olivia the pig.  You love Olivia books, books with animals so that you can make the animal noises, and the ABC book.

POTTY TRAINING:  I've gone back and forth on the idea of potty training you before your sister arrives or waiting until after she's born.  I decided that I was going wait until at least after your 2nd birthday before even thinking of starting.  But I've been following your lead and you've wanted to sit on the potty.  We aren't in full potty training mode, we are in sitting on the potty when you tell me.  We went out and bought you a potty chair cause sitting on the big potty freaked you out.  We've had your little potty chair for a week and you've gone #2 in it twice, both times telling me that you needed to go potty.  Mommy, Daddy & sissy are all so proud of you.  I know your not quite ready to be wearing undies so we'll continue with the diapers.  You do still wake up from nap and bedtime with a wet diaper, there are ocassions that you'll have a dry diaper after nap time.  So we'll take the potty training slowly and on your time.

THINGS YOU'VE BEEN UP TO:

* you are LOVING to sing.  You especially like to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  You get really excited when we all sing it together and lift your hands in the sky when the "like a diamond in the sky" part comes up.

* this last month you've been going to Grandma's in the afternoons and taking naps over there.  You really enjoy going to grandma's and it makes mommy happy to know that you do so well over there as far as sleeping and stuff.  Getting you prepaired for when mommy has to stay in the hospital to have baby sissy.

* I think it is the most adorable thing ever that you get so excited when daddy comes homes.  You scream daddy daddy daddy and run up to him trying to push your sister out of the way to say hi to him and give him big hugs!  Melts my mommy heart.

* you love being outside.  Now that you can climb onto the swing set and slide down the slide, you never want to come back inside when it's time.  I'll like it more when mommy isn't pregnant and we can stay outside longer.  Mommy can only last outside for about 30 minutes before sweating my butt off.

* your talking has just really taken off even more than last month.  You are repeating almost EVERYTHING that everyone says.  Time for mommy to start watching what she says.  Here are some new phrases you've been saying lately!  I love listening to you talk, its so cute!
- "give it back Kaylee"
- "mommy I go potty pees"
- "Kaylee stop crying, you ok"
- "daddy dinner ready"
- "go away!"

* you've become such a goof ball.  You like to do little funny things to make us all laugh!  Your such a funny little girl.

* you got your first boo boo!  The other night you and your sister were running around the truck in the drive way and you were running down the driveway and your tripped and got some road rash on your chin and scrapped up your knee.  You cried for just a quick second and just wanted me to hold you.  You kept saying "mama I got boo boo"

* you attended open house for Kaylee's school and you had a blast in there playing with all the toys and puzzles.  You threw the biggest fit when it was time to leave, both you & your sister wanted to stay.  I love that both of you like school.

* I think your going to be a GREAT big sister.  You are so sweet to your dolls.  You like being around other babies and are so cute around them.  When there are babies at mommy's check ups you become very concerned when the babies cry.  You yell "no cry baby, its ok".  So I cant wait to see you when your sister Kendall arrives.

* lately you and your sister have been arguing a lot!  I hope this is just a phase both of you are going through and that you two become friends again.  haha

* we have decided on a theme for your 2nd birthday!  Since you have this new found love for OLIVIA we decided that that's what your 2nd birthday should be.  Yes your crazy mom has started doing DIY decor for your party.  I have to get it all taken care before your sister arrives.  Its funny cause your sister had an OLIVIA party for her 2nd birthday too.  We did her party in black, white and red.  But with your party we are doing it red, aqua and white.  We will be having your party at grandma's house and we might even have a bounce house if the weather is good.

I want to enjoy these next 10 weeks even more, before your sister arrives.  I want you to feel special and not left out.  You are such a sweet girl and I have enjoyed every minute of these 21 months with you.  Even though the tantrums, arguing, screaming and not listening drives mommy nuts I still wouldn't change it for the world.

I love you to the moon and back sweet girl!

(you'll notice in some of the pictures that Keira's boo boo disappears, I did that cause those are the pictures that I want to print out and I didn't want her boo boo showing)

Tuesday Tidbits

1. Grandma returned the girls at 7pm last night.  I was excited to see them, it had been 10 hours.  Yes with Kaylee's new school schedule grandma comes over on Mondays at 8:40am to pick them up and keeps them till 7pm.  This allows mommy "me time" and time to get things I need to get done, done!  I was really happy to hear that Kaylee had a great 1st day at school yesterday.  To make it easier for mommy I opted to do drive through drop off and pick up.  People from the school will come out and get her and then bring her out to me when I get there.  I did this for when the baby comes its going to make it a lot easier for me.
I really like that they handed out a class schedule at the open house so I'm able to see what she's doing during her time there.  She was excited for Day 2 of school today.  She's still not to sure about the people getting her out of the car.  Here's what they do on a daily basis at school (9am - 12pm)

8:45 - 9:00  SHE'LL ARRIVE AT SCHOOL

9:00 - 9:15  GROUP TIME WITH GREETING, CALANDER, WEATHER REPORT, VOCABULARY DEVELOPMENT WITH INITIAL SOUND CARDS, ARTIST OF THE MONTH

9:15 - 11:00  MONTESSORI CLASS TIME WITH CHOICE OF MATERIAL (INDEPENDANT PLAY)

11:00 - 11:15  GROUP TIME WITH MUSIC AND SONGS, COMPOSER OF THE MONTH, AESOP'S FABLES, CULTURAL, SPANISH (TUESDAY & THURSDAY)

11:15 - 11:45  OUTSIDE TIME IN THE PLAY YARD

11:45 - 12:00  DISMISSAL

Preschool Day 2 (8.28.12)

2.  Now that Kaylee is in school in the morning that gives me one on one time with Keira for learning.  Today was our first learning day.  My plan was to do learning things with her for 1 hour each morning.  Today we worked on shapes puzzles, repeating of colors and shapes blocks.  She did really well.  She loves her puzzles so I knew she'd be fine with that and she likes to put the shapes into her blocks, the colors she didn't really like at first so I came up with the idea to use her puzzle as help by saying the color and then pointing to that color on her puzzle and she liked it.  So first day of learning for Keira was a SUCCESS!

3.  While browsing through pinterest and since I've had a mad craving for all things sweet I decided while at the grocery store yesterday I was going to get everything I needed to make these (reece's pieces cupcakes)!  I also wanted to make them for Kaylee having such a good day yesterday and the girls love cupcakes as much as I do!  WIN WIN

4.  Since I'm not quite sure when our newest arrival will make her enterance.  I want to do some fun Halloween crafts with the girls and decorate the house all fun for them.  Cause I'm not sure if we'll be trick or treating this year or not.  I guess it depends on when sissy decides to come.  I'm due November 2nd but both my girls came a week early.  So I want it to be at least fun around the house for them if we don't get to trick or treat.  We will for sure go to the pumpkin patch and get pumpkins.  But here are some crafts and decor I want to do.

5.  Yesterday while the girls were with grandma, Jason was working about 20 minutes away and called me to have me meet him in Brentwood for some lunch.  A lunch date very rarely ever happens so when he calls I'm there!  I met up with him around 11:30 dropped my Yukon off to get washed while we had a lunch.  We had a great time.  It was a nice change then always going out to dinner.  Hopefully more lunch dates are in our future!

Kaylee's 1st day of Preschool

Today my baby girl attended her first day of preschool (8.27.2012)

These pictures below are from a few days ago.
I knew we wouldn't have a lot of time on Monday 8-27-12 to get some fun pictures with her.
Grandma arrived at 8:30 this morning, we took the pictures above before she left.
I will admit I got a little teary eyed when she was saying good bye.
She said "bye mom, I promise you'll always be my best friend and I'll miss you today"
I'm getting teary eyed just typing that out.  Melt my mommy heart into a million pieces.
The girls will be at grandma's all day (8:40am - 7pm)
I cant wait to hear all about how her first day went!

Even though she's been attending summer school for 3 days a week for 2 months, I think it has helped prepare her for the school year.  The teacher and the director of the school have told me time and time that she is doing awesome.  I was worried about putting her into the summer program because she's never been dropped off at a place with people she doesn't know and I was worried that she would freak out.  But she rocked it and she's rocked it ever since.
The summer program has taught her so much that she didn't already know, so I am really excited to see how she does for the whole school year.  She will be attending school from August 27th to May 31st.  She'll be going M-F from 9-12.

Things she has learned in the summer program
* she can say all the days of the week
* she knows the difference between going L and going R
* she knows what each of the colors on the stop lights mean
* She can almost count to 30
* she learned all about the human body

So as she attends her first day of the academic school year I hope she continues to grow and learn each day.  I know she will continue to have so much fun and make some great friends.
Have a great day sweet girl...

30 week bumpdate

How far along? 30 weeks (only 10 weeks or less left) 69 days to go!
How big is the baby? baby is the size of CABBAGE.  She's about 15.7" long and weighs approx 2.75lbs
Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained 19lbs so far. Since my last dr visit 4 weeks ago I've gained 4lbs, she said she'd be ok if I gained more weight in between visits.  I think I'll stick with how things are going.  I still have 10 weeks to go so I'm hoping I don't gain to much more weight. But I guess we'll see how it goes.
Maternity clothes? I'm down to wearing the only 2 tanks that still fit my growing belly and my maxi skirt from Target and these baseball shorts I have.
Stretch marks? no new ones!
Sleep: it has been gettng better.  I've had a few nights this week where I haven't had to get up to go to the bathroom, which has been nice.  I wish when I got into bed I would just fall asleep right away, I know I'm tired but it seems to take me at least an hour before finally falling alseep.
Best moment this week: recieving Kendall's homecoming hat in the mail (it's so cute & tiny)
Miss Anything? not having my boobs touch my belly (sorry TMI), my boobs this time around are so much bigger, they hurt and they are heavy.  Sneezing and not peeing a little each time!
Movement: LOTS, she is most active mid afternoon & at night.
Anything making you queasy or sick: if I don't drink enough water or if I do to much I feel like I need to be sick.
Gender: GIRL - KENDALL MORGAN

Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: braxton hicks, really BAD HEARTBURN (I've noticed I get it bad when I eat chocolate, so I guess I need to stop eating chocolate :(
Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: happy and ready to have this little girl here!
Looking forward to: getting Kendall's homecoming outfit that my mom is making.  She's monogramming Kendall's name on a gown to match her hat.
How the siblings are doing: they are pretty much the same this week as last week.  Kaylee asking if baby sissy is going to come out already.  Keira has been giving an obsene amout of kisses!

30 week dr check up:
8/23/2012

weight: 135lbs (I've gained 19lbs so far)
bp: 108/70
urine: good
measuring: 27 weeks
heartbeat: good

My dr appt went fast.  Pretty much in and out, which is nice when I have both girls with me.  I had to get blood work done to make sure that I'm still Rh- and if it comes back as I still am then I go back Friday (today) to get the shot.  The nurse tried to take blood from my right arm first, no blood came out!  So she had to try on my left arm and blood came out this time.  Not fun!!  But my dr said everything looks great and baby girl's heartbeat sounds great.  I start going every 2 weeks now.  My next appt is Sept 6th.

Life Lately...

#1.  Today we went to Kaylee's school for back to school for the parents and kids.  I noticed yesterday when I went to pick her up from summer school that they were in the process of changing everything around for this up coming school year.  Her first day of preschool is on Monday.  Her schedule is going to be a little different then were use to, there wont be a lot of time for play in the mornings.  We have to make sure to get up, get fed and dressed before 8:30 cause she has to be at school by 9am.  So we will need to get use to that.  But she should have an awesome school year.  Speaking of, on Tuesday I had a super fun mail day where her "school days" book came in the mail.  Its going to be fun filling that out and having it as a wonderful keepsake.

Here's a little fun from the open house today (8-23-12)

#2.  I turn 30 weeks tomorrow, is it to early to start getting things together and packed for mine and Kendall's hospital bag?  I mean you never know.  Be prepaired tomorrow for a little bit of complaining in my 30 week bumpdate.  I have a dr appt today after Kaylee's open house. I have to get my rogam shot, not looking forward too!  I'm gonna guess since I never heard from my dr that I PASSED my glucose test.  After today's appt I will be seeing my dr every 2 weeks until 36 weeks when I'll start going every week.  It's getting so close to the end.  I'll be going through all of Kendall's things and washing everything that needs to be washed and just organizing it a little better.  We have to get her a dresser for her stuff, so that her stuff isn't in plastic bags.

#3. Nap time lately has been such a chore.  The girls go down at 12 and most days it takes them about an hour before they finally fall asleep.  I don't know why, nothing in our schedule has changed.  But the girls talk, Keira sqeals, Kaylee gets out of bed and plays or just bugs Keira.  Any suggestions to get them to go to sleep and stop playing around?!

Nothing else really exciting has been happening lately.  Just getting things together for Kaylee to start her first day of preschool on Monday.  On Saturday daddy is working, so we'll just be hanging out.  Hopefully on Sunday we can do something fun.
