Friday Randomness

1. Keira had a great birthday yesterday.  We had a pretty low key day due to the weather being way to bad to go play outside.  My plan was to drop Kaylee off at school and then take Keira to the park to have some fun, but since its been raining everything was to wet and it was way to cold for the baby to be outside.  So that morning she woke up to balloons hanging from her door, which she thought was awesome.  We then made cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  She got a big cinnamon roll all to herself, we put a #2 candle in it and sang happy birthday to her.  We dropped Kaylee off at school and came back to hang out.  We did some cartoon watching, a little coloring and had a little snuggle time.  We then picked up Kaylee from school and on the way home we stopped off at Jack in the Box for some lunch.  The girls ate and then went down for a nap.  Once they woke up daddy was home and we got ready to head to PetsMart.  We are thinking of getting the girls a 10 gallon fish tank for Christmas cause they love fish, so we were pricing everything out and checking out cool things to go inside the tank and of course looking at all the fish.  We came home and had spaghetti per request of Keira.  We then ate a little pie while watching a Christmas movie on TV and by the time the movie was over it was time for the girls to go to bed.

2.  I'd seen this craft floating around on Pinterest and I pinned it to do it during nap time one of the days I was able to get all 3 girls down for a nap at one time.  So yesterday while all 3 girls were napping I did a little Christmas crafting.  I love the way this turned out and it was so easy to make.

3.  Oh the weather outside is frightfull!  The next 4 days is suppose to be filled with RAIN, ALL DAY LONG!  Today being the worst of it.  It's suppose to rain 2.44", thats a lot of rain.  Over the next 4 days were suppose to get almost 6" of rain.  YIKES! And as I'm typing this our gardener is outside doing our yard maintanence in the rain...crazy guy.  I'm thinking he could have skipped this week and came next week when it's not suppose to be raining!

4.  Our Elf RUDY made his apperance into our family on Monday night (11.26.12)  At the first the girls didn't really understand it.  But by the second day, things changed.  Kaylee understands it but Keira doesn't really.  If Kaylee starts to act out or be mean to Keira, we remind her that Rudy is watching her and if she doesn't want him to tell Santa she's being naughty then she better listen and be a good girl.

Night 1: He wrote a note to the girls and left the 3 of them little gifts
Night 2: He could be found in the dollhouse reading to the rabbits (the girls thought it was funny)
Night 3: Rudy was hanging out in the stockings by the Christmas tree
Night 4: Rudy left a special note for Keira for her BIRTHDAY!
Night 5: Rudy flew in to leave the girls a little note reminding them to be GOOD!

5.  I have so much laundry to put away, like so much.  Like 4 loads worth of clothes and I still have clothes to wash, these kids go through a lot of clothes!  The reason I have so many loads to put away is becuase I wash the clothes and then fold them into the baskets and they get left there for who knows how long.  The hubs has been going out to the garage all week to get socks!  LOL  I just keep adding clothes to the baskets.  So I think today is the day that I put ALL the clothes away.  Did I mention how much I HATE putting laundry away!

6.  The girls are working up a nice little collection of Christmas clothes to wear this month.  I mean they don't have an outfit for every day in December...haha.  They each have 2 pair of Christmas jammies, the older girls have 1 Christmas shirt and I plan to order them cute Christmas shirts from Etsy and the baby will have 3 Christmas-y outfits.  I love Christmas time.

Have a great weekend!  We'll be hanging around the house for the most part cause of the nasty storm that's here.  We will venture out on Sunday afternoon to go to the girls' cousins birthday party.

Happy 2nd Birthday Keira

Happy 2nd Birthday Keira Alexis
I cant believe today you are TWO years old.
Where has the time gone?!

Keira Alexis,

Sweet girl you turn TWO today.  These last two years have been some of the funnest and trying times.  You have brought so much joy to our family.  Waking up each morning and seeing the huge smile you get on your face when I go into your room each morning, just melts my heart.  You have such a funny personality and can be a little dramatic at times.  You can be so sweet one minute and then turn on your sister and be a total meany.  Some of your facial expression make me laugh!

Watching you grow and learn has been awesome.  I am so glad that I've been able to stay home with you and witness all your big and little achievements.  Knowing that I've been the one to teach you almost everything you know has been really rewarding.  Since your older sister is a total daddy's girl, I love the fact that your a total mommy's girl.  Thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness into our family.

Keira's "Olivia" 2nd Birthday Party

Rule of Life #8: Never miss a important party
On Saturday 11.24.12 we celebrated Keira's 2nd birthday with family and friends.
The week leading up to her party I was checking the weather every day to make sure it wasn't going to rain, cause we were having a bounce house.  On the day of her party it was beautiful outside.
That morning we woke up made the girls breakfast and put a movie on for them so that we could make the desserts for the party.  We made cupcakes, s'mores bars and cookies & cream rice krispies treats.  We grabbed some lunch on the way over to grandmas and we ate outside while the guys set up the bounce house.  The girls thought it was really cool to watch it blow up.  After they ate lunch they went down for a nap, with all the excitment it took them awhile to fall asleep.

The party started at 3 and people started arriving then, the birthday girl was still sleeping when her guests started arriving.  I went in to wake her up and get her ready for the big party!
She had so much fun at her party and spent A LOT of time in the bounce house.

its my party & i'll cry if I want to

Kendall {1 month old}

Kendall Morgan:

How is it possible that your already a month old?!  This month has just flown by (excuse me while I go cry a little bit) It feels like we just brought you home from the hospital.  You've grown so much and your looks have changed in this short 4 weeks you've been with us.

Your such a calm girl except when it's time to eat and you will let me know.  You HATE when you get your diaper changed, you scream when you get that cold wipe on your little butt.  You have been such a joy to our family.

SLEEPING: You are a pretty good sleeping and within this week you've started sleeping longer!  YAY.  During the day you aren't sleeping as much, you are having periods where your staying awake for an hour to an hour in a half before taking a 2 hour nap.  I've been able to get you down for a nap at the same time as your sisters (which mommy thanks you cause that allows me to take a nap). At night you'll have your last feeding at 10:00 and will wake up around 2am to eat and then will go back to sleep until around 6am to eat again.  You are a snuggler and I love it!

EATING:  You are exclusively breastfed and are doing great.  You latch on good and eat off both sides (little piggy).  During the day you go about 3 hours and then want to eat and at night you go about 4-5 hours.  I have noticed that almsot after every time you eat you throw up.  I'm not sure if its because your eating to much or getting to much air.  When you hit the 2 week mark I thought that I wasn't making enough milk for you so I supplimented formula here and there for that week.  But after talking with a lactation person she told me to stick with it and not give up, feed her more often.  Whatever I was doing was working cause she was gaining weight.  So I stuck with it and it improved and it's been great.  With Kaylee and Keira at the one month mark my milk had dried up and they were both on formula.  I am hoping with Kendall I can make it longer.  I've set a goal of 3 months, if I make it to that then I'll set another goal to make it 6 months.

CLOTHING:  You've been wearing newborn clothes up until about 3 weeks old and then I began to notice that your sleepers were becoming a little tight when you stretched out and the arm length was getting short too.  So I've slowly started putting you in 0-3 month stuff (insert more crying, I'm not ready) Although the newborn stuff is getting snug, the 0-3 month stuff is still a little big on you.

STATS:
Weight: will update after check up
Height: will update after check up
Hair: black
Eyes: dark blue

THINGS I WANT TO REMEMBER:

* You've become more alert and started looking around more

* I've got a half smile out of you and you weren't sleeping

* You laugh and smile in your sleep all the time

* You can lift your head up really well

 * You are still co-sleeping with us and it makes it easy for mommy to nurse you in the middle of the night.  I'm not sure how much longer we'll co-sleep but for now mommy is enjoying all the 2am snuggles.

* Your sisters still love on you all the time.  They like holding you.  When Kaylee is holding you and you start to cry Kaylee is done holding you.  When Keira is holding you and you start to cry she pats your tummy and says "shh shh"

* You don't like to be put into your carseat and cry every time.  You stop crying once your buckled in and then your fine.

* You love your pacifier

* You enjoy bath time and don't cry anymore

* You don't like to be naked!

Sweet girl you are growing entirly to fast for your mama's liking but I've enjoyed watching you grow and change each day.  Happy ONE month baby girl.  We love you to the moon & back!

An now for some comparisons cause everyone likes those!
Watch me grow...
