Early Easter Fun

On Saturday {3.23.13} morning we got up ate breakfast together and then I got myself ready before getting the girls ready.  While I got ready Kendall hung out with me while the big girls watched cartoons with daddy.  Once I was finished I got the girls dressed and did their hair.  We had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of us so I left the baby in her jammies so she could be comfortable.  I had to take the mandatory picture of the big girls before leaving, just in case I wasn't able to get one later!

We loaded up the girls and the buckets and we were on our way to Coursegold to Jason's brother and wife's new house.  They invited us and Jason's mom & dad out to see their new house, eat dinner and do an easter egg hunt for the girls.  We left around 12:30 which is the girls nap time, hoping that they would sleep on the way.  Kaylee didn't sleep, Keira took a short 45 minute nap and Kendall well she slept the whole time.  We made it 15 minutes before I remembered that I forgot the cupcakes {we brought the dessert}, so we had to turn around and drive back to get them!  We got back on the road, the drive felt like it took forever!  We finally made it to their house, YAY.  We went inside and got a quick tour while grandma and Aunt Alyssa hid the eggs.  Once we were done with the tour we headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather and eat some appitizers.

We all decided once Kendall was done with her bottle that we would go on our egg hunt.  The girls were so excited!  I held the baby and daddy was in charge of taking the pictures.  The girls had a lot of fun running around finding the eggs.  It was so cute to see them getting so excited each time they found an egg.  I walked with Kendall and her bucket, we picked up a few eggs and she got a cute book.  The girls each got lotion {they are addicted to putting lotion on}.

I love that they are holding hands!

After finding all 45 eggs we headed back to the backyard so the girls could open up every single egg to see what was inside.  Some of the eggs had jelly beans and the other eggs had change, which the girls are all about their change.  Kaylee made out in the change department, I think she walked away with close to a dollar and Keira got $0.30 cents.  While the girls were going through their baskets, daddy and Uncle Antheney started making dinner.

The boys were making a rack of ribs and chicken, we also had salad and french bread!  The boys did a great job, it tasted so good.

After eating we cleaned up and then headed inside for a little bit.  The girls relaxed and then we all enjoyed cupcakes.  The day before while I was walking through Target down the Easter aisle, I walked past the frosting and noticed Pink Lemonade frosting, I just couldn't not get it.  Let me tell you how amazing it is!!!!!

Once the girls were done, we put them in their jammies for the long ride back home.  We left about 6:15 after the baby drank a bottle.  About 45 minutes into the ride home the girls fell asleep!  We made it home around 9 and put the girls right to bed.  All in all we had a great time.  We will be having more Easter fun this weekend!

Kendall: 5 months old

Kendall:
5 months, really?!  Where has the time gone?  I love seeing each new stage and watching you change, but honestly I wish I could bottle it up and have it forever!  I want to be able to cherish each little moment with you.  You are the sweetest little girl and I am beyond blessed to be your mama!  Watching your eyes light up when I enter the room, melts my heart!  When you put your little hands on my face and then open your mouth for a kiss, just has me giddy inside.

I love you to the moon and back sweet girl!
Love, Mommy

SLEEPING:  you are still sleeping absolutely amazing {I hope by saying that I didn't just jinx myself}.  You go to bed each night at 8:30pm and wake up at 7:15am.  We are still swaddling you because you have mastered rolling from your back to your belly like a champ, as soon as I lay you down you are over on your belly, the problem is you don't like to sleep on tummy and you end up getting really mad.  So I have to swaddle you so that you will actually go to sleep.  Nap times are the same way, before being able to roll over you use to take naps unswaddled.  You take 3 naps a day.  You go down for your first nap around 9am after we drop Kaylee off at school.  You sleep for about an hour or so.  Your awake until 12:30 when you and your sisters go down for a nap, this is where you take your longest nap of about 3 hours.  You then will take your finally cat nap around 6 for about 30 minutes!

EATING: It's one month since I stopped breastfeeding and you were introduced to formula.  You are doing really well with the formula and have had no problems.  You drink 5oz every 3 hours {so that's 5 bottles a day / 25oz total} and your doctor said that was fine.  You get extremely mad every time you are done with your bottle, so as soon as your done we distract you or give you your binks. I tried to introduce food in the middle of your 4th month and you weren't really ready, you were having a hard time with the spoon and most of the food was on you instead.  So I stopped and figured I'd wait until you hit the 5 month mark and we would try again, which I did a couple days ago and you did so much better.  You are opening your mouth with each bite and your keeping the food in your mouth instead of all over you.  Foods you've tried and liked - sweet potatos {by far your favorite}, applesauce, pears and peaches.  You don't like peas at all!!

STATS:
Weight:
Height:
Clothes: some 3-6 & 6 month stuff
Diaper: size 2
Shoes: size newborn {the one time she's worn shoes}
Hair: dark brown
Eyes: dark blue

THINGS I WANT TO REMEMBER/MILESTONES FROM YOUR 4TH MONTH:
* You started holding your own bottle {3.3.13}

* I try to sit you up but you don't really like it all to much.  But when you do get balanced you can sit there for 15 seconds before falling to the side or getting to excited

* When you are laying on your belly you've started reaching for your toys and will put them in your mouth.

* You don't like when your sisters yell, it makes you cry

* You celebrated your 1st St. Patrick's Day {3.17.13}

* You love looking at yourself in the mirror.  Your little arms starting moving with so much excitment, its the cutest thing

*  You haven't lost any of your hair.  It's weird to me becuase Kaylee barely had any hair and Keira lost all her hair on the top by 3 months.  The only thing is you have a little bald spot on the back of your hair where you rub your head back and forth.

* You love to swing on the swings

* You are rolling over back to belly all over.  As soon as I put you down on your back, your on your belly in a matter of seconds.

* You love to babble

* When I hold you close to my face you've started touching my face.  You touch my face and then open your mouth and come in for a smooch.  It seriously just melts my heart!!

* You love to watch what your sisters are doing.  You will watch their every move.  When Kaylee cry's, you laugh.  You love when your sisters make you laugh, and they do a good job at it.

* You've started showing signs of seperation anxiety when I leave the room

Trendy Tot Tuesday - Easter Best

I'm linking up with Megan for Trendy Tot Tuesday!

With Easter this weekend, I thought I would put together some cute outfits.
My girls are gonna make daddy broke, there are so many cute clothes and I just want to buy everything!  All the spring/summer stuff at Target and The Children's Place are sucking me in and I'm holding off my urge to buy buy buy!

Here is a little Easter Best I put together for my girls.
Sometimes as much as I'd want my girls to match, the hubs absolutely hates it.
So for Easter this year I got them outfits with the same colors but they aren't matching.
But you'll have to wait and see their cute outfits for when I post all about our Easter next week.

So enjoy these cute outfit ideas I put together.

Sorry, no dating till your 30!

Sorry boys....
Daddy says I can't date until I'm 30!

While walking through WalMart one afternoon, I saw this onesie and knew that I just had to get it.  When talking with anyone about my girls, Jason and I alway joke about them not being able to date until their 30.  I know I have many years before I have to start thinking about my girls dating, but even knowing I have years that doesn't stop my brain from thinking about it all the time.

In today's society is just seems like kids are dating younger and younger {and also getting pregnant younger and younger}.  I don't know if I would be ready for my girls to start dating at 14 that just seems way to young to me.  Heck I wasn't even really thinking about boys at 14, don't get me wrong I had my crushes and boys that I liked but I never thought about dating them.

Kendall doesn't like the idea of not dating till she's 30!

 Its hard for me as a parent to even imagine my girls dating right now, but I know its bound to happen.  I'm glad I have years to prepare myself for it.  The thing I worry most about my girls dating is them getting their heart broken.  No parent wants that for their kids, but I know its going to happen.  Its a part of life.  I say this cause I know they are not going to find their one true love with their very first boyfriend, I mean if they did that would be awesome.  My hope is my girls date nice boys and if they happen to break up I hope its a nice break up.  Is there such a thing as a nice break up?  I hope my girls always know that I'm hear for them and that they also have each other to lean on.

Jason always jokes that when boys come to the door to pick up the girls for their first date he's going to answer the door in his underwear holding a gun!  He wants to embaress the girls so the boys just leave!  Some days I don't even want to think about them dating and then other times I think about them falling in love and be treating with prespect and kindness.  I want them to experience those butterflies in their stomach when the doorbell rings and their date is waiting on the other side of the door, I want them to have fun.  I want them to come back and tell me how much fun they had and that the boy treated them right.

Again I'm just glad I have years to prepare myself before I have to even think about my girls wanting to date!  The other thing about them dating is worrying as soon as they leave that nothing bad will happen to them, that they have fun and the worry and relief will go away once they walk through the front door.  Cheers to having years before I have to start thinking or worrying about dating!!!

Bringin it back old school

All the way back to like 1984, this cute little outfit use to be mine when I was a baby.
I wish I had a picture to show you of me in it, I'm sure my mom has one some where.
But for now you'll have to just see my adorable daughters in it.
Its so much fun to be able to put my girls in something that use to be mine.
My mom saved some of her favorite outfits of mine and passed them down to me, to either just hang on to or actually put my kids in.  As you can see I actually put my kids in this cute little romper.  Kaylee and Keira both wore this outfit a few times.  I'm sad to say that Kendall only put it on for this picture.  When we moved this little gem was packed away and I couldn't find it for the longest time, I then found it when I was looking through some bins and I knew I just had to sqeeze her into it so that I could get a picture. {I say squeeze cause it's a size newborn}
Just for fun my mom saved my over the top first birthday dress that I wore, I'm thinking it might be fun to put Kendall in it and get some pictures of her....haha

And here is Kaylee and Keira in the same outfit

A ray of sunshine

I am sitting her in the quietness of the house while the girls nap with the front door and windows open, enjoying this beautiful 77 degree weather.  I cant believe how awesome the weather has been this week.  The rest of the week into the weekend is suppose to be just as nice.
On Wednesday {feb 13th}  morning after dropping Kaylee off at school, we got back home, I put Keira in her big girl undies and we {Keira, Kendall & I} headed outside to soak up the sunshine.  It was so nice outside alredy that Keira was just in her undies and the baby was wearing just a onesie.  Gotta love the beautiful weather, spring is in the air.  While we hung out outside, Keira played with chalk and ran around.  The baby swung in the swing and loved it.  While outside I brought out Keira's potty chair, just in case she needed to go.  We played outside for about 2 hours, my girl didn't have an accident at all.  She sat on her potty twice and tried to go, I think she gets a little scared to just let the pee pee come out {I tell her to say "get out pee pee & get in my potty" and most of the time she says "I cant do it"}.   A little off topic, but this weekend we are going to start potty training 100%, I think she's ready!!
The girls had a good time playing outside, we came back in got our diaper on and went to go pick up Kaylee.  After coming home the girls all ate lunch and then went down for a good nap.  After the girls woke up from their nap, Keira put her undies back on and we all headed back outside to soak up more sunshine.  The girls love being outside and being out there they are able to get rid of the all the energy these girls have.
 {just a warning there are a lot of pictures!}

One of the girls favorite things to do outside, other than playing on the swings & slide is picking all the lemons off the lemon tree.  Our lemon tree has A LOT of lemons on it.  So many that we'll never use half of them before they go bad.  So every time we go outside Kaylee likes to pick them and then the girls put them in a pile and then when grandma comes to get them they give them to her.  Its so cute and grandma likes it.  At least they are getting used!
