Early Christmas celebration with daddy

This year Christmas was different than any Christmas we've celebrated before.
Daddy got his new job and started the end of October.
We went 34 days before we got to see daddy.
We decided when he was home on his week long break that we would celebrate Christmas then.
We celebrated as a family on Dec 1st morning.  The girls and I made cookies and set them out for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
We exchanged present with each other this year, usually we don't and we buy just for the girls.
The girls got brand new faux leather chairs from us and a train table from Santa.
The train table has been the best gift by far, all 3 girls play with it all day long.  The baby likes to take the tracks apart but that's ok.
Although we celebrated different this year and I'm sure it's not going to be the last time, it was nice to be together as a family.  We didn't get to do some of our traditions like we did last year.  But there is always next year.

My tree in the past has been red and silver.  I changed our colors this year based on this nutcracker.

These chairs are awesome.  The baby loves that she can climb on her chair and get down by herself.  These are so much easier to clean and so far the girls have kept them clean!

On Saturday Dec 7th we celebrated Christmas with Jason's mom, step dad, brothers and sister in law.  The girls spent the night at grandma's the night before and they were excited to see us when we came that afternoon.  We had Chinese food for lunch and after lunch we exchanged gifts.  It was great to spend time together as a family.  I'm going to miss that when we move to Texas.

At Jason's mom we open gifts youngest to oldest.
