Our house buying journey

Jason and I have been together for 12 years and in those 12 years we have moved A LOT, and by a lot I mean like every 6 months to a year for the past 12 years.  In the beginning moving was fine when it was just Jason and I but once we started having kiddos it made it a lot harder.  Moving with 3 kids is pure torture, you try to pack while they are right behind you unpacking things you've packed!

We moved to Texas in January after Jason was offered a job he couldn't turn down.  It was hard to move away from family and be in this new state and not know anyone but we made it work.  We found a rental house before moving here and always knew we wanted to buy a house.  This new job opportunity made that even more possible for us.  After 7 months of working at his new job Jason got a raise which made the whole house buying journey that much better.  So we sat down and talked about where in Texas we would want to live and we found a realtor and started looking.

We looked online and found 6 houses that fit what we were looking for.  We went at looked at these 6 houses and then narrowed down our options.  We narrowed the houses down to 2 options.  After going over everything we chose a 3bd 2 ba 4 car garage on 2 acres.  We were really excited about it, we started the processes and put an offer in.  This house needed some updating so we were excited to make it our own.  We went back and forth and finally accepted an offer.  The processes seemed so easy and we had no problems.  But all that changed after we had our home inspection, our home inspection discovered a lot of electrical problems in the house that involved needed a wall to be opened up to fix the problem and after lots of talking we decided that that was to much for us to take on, so we backed out.  We let a couple weeks pass and decided we wanted to make an offer on the other option, but we got out bid on that house (there were 2 other offers).  So we decided to take a break and go on our family vacation to CA and we would decide what we were going to do after we got back.  We even talked about buying land and building a house.

But right before I left to go to CA Jason and I were looking through all the housing options again and we found this brand new house built in 2014.  I made an apt to go look at it right before I left for CA and I fell in love!  The house was perfect.  We went on our trip and once we returned Jason and I went to go look at the house together.  The house was perfect for us and the even better part was the empty lot next door was for sale as well.  At first we put in an offer for just the house and it got rejected, we waited a few days and then went back with our second offer this time including the empty lot next door and they came back and we accepted!

Minus the little hiccup with the first house this whole house buying experience has been pretty easy.  We are suppose to close on July 31st and we cant wait.  The girls are so excited and we have some great plans for the backyard and front yard.  Yay for an easy house buying experience and to our final move!

We were able to pick out what appliances we wanted which was awesome and something fun that we got to do together.  I don't think I've been so excited about appliance, I guess that's what happens when you get older.  We are coming up with really fun ideas for the girls rooms and playroom.  I cant wait to move in and start decorating.  As of Friday July 18th we have 13 days till closing and then we plan to move in Aug 1st weekend.  My little brother is flying in from CO on July 31st and then some friends from CA are flying in on August 1st to help us move and then have some Texas fun!

Keep a look out for a house tour soon....

Little Faces Apparel Review

Lately I have become a little obsessed with clothes for my girls, mainly the baby cause they are just to darn cute.  Being able to find fun patterns, colorful prints and good quality is everything I look for.  When I came across Little Faces Apparel on instagram, I fell in love with her stuff.  I like that she has a variety of styles to choose from leggings, shorts, skirts, beanies, headbands and shirts.  Her sizes run 3 months to 3T.

Jenn was nice enough to send Kendall these adorable cupcake shorts for us to review.  I fell in love with this print and the colors.  As you know I am obsessed with gold so when I saw the gold, black, white and pink I got heart eyes! These cotton shorts are light weight and perfect for these hot Texas summers.  Kendall is wearing the 18 month shorts and they are a little big on her tiny waist but it's nice cause we'll be able to wear them again next year.  The quality of these shorts are great and Jenn was just the sweetest to work with.

I would totally recommend this shop to everyone.  Her prices are reasonable and her turn around time and shipping were pretty fast.  Thank you again Jenn for being so sweet and sending us these amazingly cute shorts, we love them.  Go check her our y'all!

JaxHoo Mary Jane Moccasins Review

If you follow me along on instagram, you've seen Miss Kendall rockin some awesome moccasins from some awesome shops.  I came across JaxHoo on instagram and fell in love with all her unique moccasins.  She has a wide variety of different styles and fabrics, which I love.

When I went to her website I fell in love with her Mary Jane moccasins, I mean can you get any more girly?!  I don't think so.  JaxHoo was sweet enough to send us a pair of these amazingly adorable moccs to review.  When these moccasins arrived in the mail, I couldn't open them fast enough!  Both Kendall and I let out a little squeal when we saw them.

The quality of these moccasins are amazing, I love this gun metal color is goes great with everything, they are made with thick soft leather and are beyond adorable.  We have gotten so many compliments on these moccasins and they are fastly becoming our favorites.

I absolutely love the meaning behind this business.  JaxHoo was created after her good friend's baby boy Jax Finn died of SIDS.  I love that for every moccasin sold $1.00 goes directly towards the CJ Foundation for SIDS in memory of Jax.  So not only are you supporting this sweet mama by buying her moccasins but you are contributing a cause that has hit close to home for lots of families.

So if your looking for great quality moccasins that will hold up awesome with a toddler or just want your cutie to look adorable go visit JaxHoo and snag a pair of her moccasins.  I love that her prices are great too, they are affordable and they last.

Featuring: Dainty & Lion Clothing

As I mom of 3 girls, I try to find good quality clothes and prices that aren't going to break the bank.
Instagram has been awesome in finding small owned business that have some really unique and adorable clothes.  The problem is some of them are just way to expensive for this mama of 3.  So when I came across Dainty and Lion I feel in love with her stuff.  For this mom of 3 girls, her prices are great and her clothes are unique, have fun prints and are just plain adorable!

When looking for clothes for my girls I want things that are unique and not something that everyone is going to have.  I love being able to support other moms and there businesses.

When I contacted Kelly about being featured she was awesome and told me to go pick something out.  When looking at her site it was so hard to pick cause everything was so cute, but then I came across this dress and knew Kendall needed this in her life cause we had the perfect headband to match.  It was love at first sight.  Kendall is wearing a 24 months and it's a little big on her but that's ok cause that just means she'll be able to wear it for that much longer.  The feel of this dress feels like bathing suit material and feels airy.  We love the vibrant colors and the fun little bounce that comes when you wear this dress.

The quality of this dress is great and she makes 0-3 months up to 5T.  On top of looking for great prices we look for things that are light and airy cause man it gets hot and humid here is Texas.  This dress is perfect for those hot Texas days.  So if your looking for clothes with vibrant colors, uniqueness and great prices then head over to Dainty and Lion and snag some stuff for your little ones!
