Kaylee's 2nd Birthday Party

We hosted Kaylee's 2nd birthday party at our house this year and let me tell you it was a lot of work.  When her party was over I was exhausted!  But we had a great time.  Thank you everyone for coming and making Kaylee's birthday so much fun!

Kaylee spent the night before her party at Grandma Sids so that I could get things ready the next morning before her party.  So the morning of the party Keira decided to wake up bright and early at 6:30, uhhhh!  So we got up finished cleaning up a big and I started to make all the cupcakes and frost them.  Kaylee got home around 11 and we got her ready.

Kaylee's 2nd cousin Scarlett arrived and the two of them had a blast together playing.

After playing and eating lunch is was time for Kaylee to blow out her candles.  This year she enjoyed blowing out the candles before people were done singing.  It was to cute. I would lite them and she would blow them right out and then get so excited and clap and we would do that all over again.

After cake it was time for presents and this year Kaylee new exactly what to do.  She would start to open one present and then before being finished with that one she wanted to open the next.  She LOVED all her gifts that she got.  Later today we are setting up the swing set that Grandma Sid & Grandpa Dennis got her.  She's NEVER going to want to come inside once we get it set up!!  We're going to buy her a bucket seat so that she can swing and so that Keira can swing too.

Uncle Josh got Kaylee a bike for her birthday and did a little modifications on it and I LOVE the way it turned out....Kaylee likes it too.

Kaylee with all her gifts, she got a lot of clothes too

Kaylee got this princess tent and we poped it up and she loved it, so does Keira and Daddy and Kona too!  hehehe

After waking up at 6:30am and not having a nap Kaylee passed out at 6:45pm.  I knew she was ready for bed cause she was getting really whinny at the littlest things.  She had a great time!

Thank you again to everyone!

Happy Birthday Kaylee

Happy 2nd Birthday Kaylee Elizabeth

I sit here pondering the words to write.  Your second year has come way to fast.  I often asked for time to slow down so I can enjoy you this small for a little while longer, but time hasn't gotten back to me!

You have grown into a very smart & loving 2 year old.  I can sit here today and smile on all of your big girl accomplishments and fun memories we have together.  Your growing up into a beautiful little girl.  You went from being my baby to a toddler and now are such a big girl.  But I don't care how big you get cause you'll always be my little girl.

I am thankful daddy has given me the opportunity to be able to stay home with you cause I wouldn't want to miss a second with you.  It seems like every time I blink my eye you learn something new.  Like the other day when I poured you some fruit snacks into your bowl and you said "Holy cow mama yummy fruit snacks!"  I am so proud of the little girl you are becoming.

You are sweet, sassy, loving, dramatic, independent, outside loving, overly sensitive & 100% a daddy's girl!

But the best day has been when you walked up to me gave me a hug & kiss and then said "lub lub mama"  Hearing those words just melted my heart.

You still take a 3 hour nap each day & mommy thanks you so much for that!  You love going to Grandma & Grandpas on Mondays to play with them, the chicks, throw Jessie the ball and do your marching around on your path!

You've got quite the vocabulary and it's growing every day.  But the new saying that you say that makes me laugh every time is when your in the other room and I don't know what your doing I ask you Kaylee what the heck are you doing and you coming running in fists closed like your going to punch someone and you yell "what the heck a doing" .  I'm laughing while typing it.

You are learning so quickly like the other day when you picked up the letter D and said "mama D for Doug"  I was super impressed!  You are such a smart little girl.  I cant believe how quick you learn things.

Shapes that you know: CIRCLE, OVAL, STAR, HEART, KITE (DIAMOND)
Colors that you know: WHITE, GREEN, PINK, RED
You know sounds to a lot of animals and are even trying to teach sissy what the animals say

Your are such a sweet big sister.  You love being around Keira and I cant wait to watch you guys become best friends.  You want to help with everything when it comes to sissy.  You like to help feed her, change her diaper and give her her pacifier when she cries.  When you talk to her it put the BIGGEST smile on her face!

STATS:
Weight: 26lbs
Height: 35"
Diaper Size: 4
Clothes: 2T
Shoe: 6
Teeth: all (all 4 of your 2 year molars are coming in at one time)

Since 4 weeks old you have been the best sleeper and still are.  We did have a month when you were about 15 months when you didn't sleep good and you would wake up multiple time a night and mommy though she was going to lose her mind.  But after a month you were back to sleep like a champ!  You go to bed at 8:30 each night and wake up at 8am each morning.  You drink your milk from your sip cup and give your kisses to everyone and daddy takes you up to bed and you put yourself to sleep.  You also put yourself to sleep at nap time as well, which has been awesome.  You've been in your big girl bed since December and you've done so good with adjusting.  I think you liked it a lot better than your crib!

Watching you grow & change over the past 2 years have been the best.

You love to play puzzles, read your books, play with your babies, dance, sing, talk back (LOL), airplanes (you can spot them so quick), having your toes painted & being outside!

You HATE to have your hair washed when it's bath time!  But we're trying something new and having you dump the water on your head and it seems to be working.  But other than that you LOVE your baths.

I thank god everyday for choosing me to be your mommy.
These last 2 years have been filled with happiness, stress & joy.

Happy Birthday sweet girl

Love Mommy & Daddy

Baby Food = Funny Faces

Keira has been on rice cereal for about a month with a little baby food mixed in.  I decided to just give her baby food from now on and well it's makes for a good laugh seeing which foods she doesn't really like!

Yesterday she got half a jar of Sweet Potatoes & half jar of pineapple pear which she LOVED both.  But today it was carrots & pears, but she had some super funny faces today with the carrots...lets just say she DIDN'T like carrots.  When I tried to give her more she started spitting it out!

I've been trying to clean up my house in preperation for Kaylee's birthday party on Saturday, but Kaylee has other plans about keeping her area clean!  I pick up her toys and she makes a HUGE mess!!!  I usually don't clean up her toys until she goes to bed cause she just takes them all back out again making that HUGE mess all over again.

For the past two days Keira has been playing in her jumperoo and all of a sudden it got quiet and when I looked up she was sleeping.  The girl got her work out for the day.  It helps get her to sleep longer at night time, it wears her out.  She's getting to be so big, I cant believe at the end of this month she's going to be 6 months old already.  She's getting to be such a big girl.

Kaylee has been really into coloring lately.  Not only in her coloring books but trying to color on anything she can get her hands on.  This kid colored on our old garbage can, the top of a tote (sorry Auntie Rhonda), and she colored with pen on the recliner!  Little stinker...

Keira is getting to be a big girl.  I wish that her sleeping habits would be more consistant!  Most of the time she sleeps 9-5 but then there are those nights when she wakes up every 3 hours, OMG!!!!!   Last night was one of those up every 3 hour nights.  I think it might have a little something to do with her teething.

I don't know if the closer Kaylee gets to her birthday the more of a whinner she becomes, but this last week has really worn me out!  She isn't listening, she's screaming & telling me NO to everything and just not being a good girl.  Though she does have her good moments where she'll go from super HAPPY to SCREAMING & CRYING.  It's driving me bonkers!  I try using her party to get her to be good, telling her if she isn't a good girl she doesn't get to have cupcakes & presents for her birthday...it helps for a little bit!

On Monday when Kaylee left to go to grandma's house Keira helped Mommy Study and do my last project for school.  School is almost over and I needed to finish my last project.  Keira played in her bumpo and Mommy did her paper.

I know I say this all the time but I love watching my girls together.  The older Keira gets the more Kaylee wants to be around her and help do stuff for her.  It is the sweetest thing to watch.  I love being a stay at home mom with my babies.

Kaylee has been funny lately.  She has this sticker book and likes to put these stickers all over her face and she thinks it's the funniest thing ever.  I hate the stickers cause I find them all over the house or they end up stuck on the bottom of my foot.  But whatever makes her happy & not crying right!?!

2 days until my little stinker of a child turns 2!
She is growing up to fast and over the last week she seems to have gotten an attitude as well!
But I love her....
