Parenting isn't always easy!

Parenting isn't always SUNSHINE & RAINBOWS
There are those days when the kids cry non stop and nothing you do makes them happy!
I honestly don't know how single parents do it.

The other day was one of those trying days for me
Kaylee woke up in a bad mood and it just got worse as the day went on
Keira is teething and since she started crawling getting her down for a nap has been a chore, she fits it!

Nothing I did made either girl happy.
Daddy was working late that day and the time couldn't have moved any slower that day
I was at my wits end and ready to pull my hair out.
I try to remind myself that I need to relax and not get stressed out
I cant get worked up cause it only makes it worse and the girls act out more.

I love my girls more than anything but sometimes when daddy walks in that door from work
I need to pass the girls on to him for a little bit so that I can recharge!
I am thankful that he gives me that time that I need.

But the good days definetly out weigh the bad
Watching my girls share that sisterly bond that is forming between them is PRICELESS

The tantrums and time outs are out weighed by her sweetness
Yes the kid is 2 going on 16 and has the attitude to prove it
But she is sweetest little girl & she is so caring!

Through all the crying and teething its out weighed by her cuteness
All she needs to do is smile and it makes my day that much better
She's usually the happiest baby, but those darn teeth are not her friend right now

Nobody said parenting would be easy
But I take things day by day
I've found that not getting worked up while your kiddos are getting worked up helps to relax them when their having one of thier moments.
Being a mom is the best job I could ask for, some days I wish I had a day off, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

This week Kaylee & I will be doing some art projects.
I've found some great finger paint project to do with her
A couple weeks ago we got her her paints and haven't had the time to use them yet
But I need to find projects to keep her busy
I think she's starting to get bored with coloring

Here are some projects I've found on Pinterest that we're going to work on

Paper plate projects

These are just some of the ideas I'm thinking we'll try!
Happy Tuesday!

  1. Great post! I agree, sometimes it's just "one of those days"!

Have fun with the painting! I'm all about handprint art and paper plate art...it's nice and easy haha :-)

  4. I honestly don't know how single parents do it either. It's SO hard to manage them especially when they're not feeling well. My kiddo doesn't have any teeth yet and she's 8months old. But I know that once they'll come, I will be pulling my hair out.
I hope this phase passes quickly.
