Thank you Pinterest for some great ideas.
Here's the picture I found on Pinterest that I got my inspiration from
This looked like a fun & easy project to do with Kaylee and it gave me a reason to finally take out her paints that we got her a month ago and use them to have fun!
They used cardstock paper
I had some extra flat canvas laying around that I was going to use for a different project that didn't really work out how I wanted so I'll let Kaylee use them for her art creations!
Things used:
3pk Canvas
Tape
Washable Paint
Paint brushes
Ribbon
Rhinstones
Kaylee had a blast doing this. This was her first time painting and it was a SUCCESS. I was a little worried on letting her paint and trying to paint herself, but she did great. She did really good about not mixing the brushes in different colors. She was so excited when I told her we were going to paint. Now that we made these I was going to hang them in her room but I think we're going to give them as a gift for Grandparent's Day.
2nd tape painting project
The final product, I think they turned out great!!
This was fun, we will be doing a lot more painting projects in the future!

Also another pinterest find that I had to try was this
Since Keira turned 9 months old yesterday and I forgot about this idea until I was looking around on my boards I decided to give it a try. Its so easy and so cute! I love how they turned out. I wish I would have seen this idea sooner. She did have a cute bow on but ripped it off before getting outside and to save myself the headache of having her cry and me not being able to do this, I said fine you don't need a cute bow to add to your already cuteness! I think they turned out cute! I will be doing this each month too!
That looks like so much fun - okay, I have to try that one with Emma! Maybe even Aaron, too! :)
ReplyDeleteLove how the paint projects turned out! I'm going to do this when my 3-year-old niece comes over some day. And what a cute idea for the 9 month birthday. Definitely going to do it for Kyla's 8 month coming up soon. Thanks for sharing these great ideas!
