Thanksgiving: Part I

We celebrated our 1st of 3 Thanksgivings on Tuesday with Jason's mom, step dad, 2 brothers (Patrick - on break from school @ Chico State & Antheney), Alyssa, Jason, the girls & I.  Jason's brother Antheney has to work the rest of the week which is why we had it on Tuesday.  We headed over to Jason's moms around 11:30, the girls played for a little bit and then I tried to put them down for a nap.

Which didn't go to well, cause there was to much noise going on.  Keira slept a whole 45 minutes before waking up crying.  So while Jason, his step dad, mom and 2 brothers played RISK, I tried putting Keira back to sleep.  After 45 minutes of patting her back, rocking her and her fading in and out of sleeping and not sleeping....she FINALLY fell back asleep.  So I waited about 10 minutes before getting up to put her in the pack n play.  I would have held her but I had to pee!  Well I had no such luck as soon as I layed her down she woke back up!  So her nap yesterday was a total of ONE HOUR!
The turkey got put on the BBQ around 2pm and cooked away.  They continued to play the RISK game and Grandma took the girls for a walk, giving mommy a much needed break!

We had a good time looking through old baby books of Jason and his little brothers from when they were little.  It was funny cause there was a school picture of a bunch of us from like 4th grade....LOL

We were a little worried cause the turkey was cooking a little faster than we wanted it to while we waited for Antheney's finance Alyssa to get there.  It all worked out though cause she made it just in time about 5 minutes before food was ready!

The food looked awesome and I couldn't wait to eat it!  The turkey turned out AWESOME!  This was Jason's 1st time making a turkey on the BBQ.  We used the drippings to make gravy (removing the fat) and OMG it was the best gravy I've ever had!

Overall we had an awesome 1st of Thanksgivings!
Tomorrow afternoon we are headed to Jason's grandmas to visit and eat
&
then we are headed to Jason's Great Grandmas to eat somemore!
