Our family SUMMER bucket list

I've seen a few of these lists floating around the blog world and wanted to make one for our family.
I want to hold myself accountable and document all the fun things we do as a family.
I had made a Winter Bucketlist that we crossed everything off of and I was so happy with all the time we spent as a family together, completing each one.

I want to try and get this list done by the time Keira turns 2 which is November 29th

So here is my list....

play in the sprinklers // make a bird feeder // build a fort // wash the car // go fruit picking // go to the aquarium // go to the zoo // go to the Children's Museum // go to SF for clam chowder and see the sea lions // go to the beach // fly a kite // go on an ice cream date // take summer family pictures // plant flowers // campout in the backyard // go on a night walk // pixie woods // chalk fun // have a picnic in the park

After making my list I was searching around on pinterest and found these cute blank labels someone made and printed them out, so I could write all these down.  After writing our list down on each label I cut them out and folded them once and then put them in a mason jar.  I decorated the outside of the mason jar all fun and summery.  On Fridays we'll sit down as a family and have the girls pick out one activity and whatever they pick we will do that activity either Saturday or Sunday.  I don't know if we'll pick an activity to do every weekend but I would like this spring/summer to be a fun one.

* we've already done one of the things on our list.  We washed the cars this weekend and Kaylee had a blast helping daddy.  We washed both daddy's truck and mommy's yukon.  The weather was awesome and we had a lot of fun together.  I'm sure we'll wash the cars again sometime this summer.

  6. So cute! Like you, I had both a Fall and Winter bucket list and we had fun spending time together so I've been planning one for summer.

I love the idea of putting them in a jar though. That makes it even more fun! Then you also get the sense of "flying by the seat of your pants" sort of thing!

  7. Um - this is AWESOME!! Thanks for sharing! I won't be able to do a big list since I'll be giving birth in July, but I should at least do a mini-bucket list for me and LL to complete before he gets here. Thanks for the idea!!
