Friday Fun Day with the girls!

This morning (friday) the girls actually slept till 7am which was a vast improvement since Thursday they were awake at 6am. While grandma was getting ready for work kaylee was in there and grandma let her play with some old rollers, Kaylee came out with all the rollers on her head. It was
Pretty funny. Grandma then left for work and her cleaning lady arrived while we were eating breakfast. The girls and I snuggled on the couch while watching now other than Toy Story 2. After the movie was over I decided to take the girls outside so they weren't in the cleaning lady's way. At 10am it was already 80 degrees outside. The girls ran around, we had a fun little photo session and more running around (naked). The girls were hot in their jammies so they took their clothes off Funny girls. We played for about an hour before I said lets come inside cause I was nasty sweating. We came in ate some lunch and then watched Lady and the Tramp 2 before the girls went down for a nap.

After their nap and my short cat nap we all got up watched a movie while waited for grandma. Grandma got home around 5 and had take uncle Patrick to the bike shop so he can get his bike fixed to take it to college with him. When they got back we heeded out to feed and check on the chickens and also check on the garden. We picked some tomatoes to use for dinner that night. We came back in and grandma made omlets and sausage. After dinner grandma made up some mini ice cream comes for us to enjoy outside before the girls got ready for bed. The girls LOVED them. While grandma and I were sitting on he lawn and the girls were looking at he fish in the pond we got attacked by the sprinklers. So we made a run for it, luckily not getting to wet. The girls thought it was funny!!

Once inside the girls took a quick bah and then got into their pjs. We called and talked to daddy before bed like we have every night since he left. Then the girls climbed into bed and I didn't hear a peep out of them.

They have been sleeping good here at grandmas. Their wake up call has been way earlier than when at home. Since we've been here it's been 6am wake up calls rather than their usual almost 8 wake up time. But they are having a good time. I talk to Jason everyday. Hey made it to Texas yesterday (friday july 13) and are visiting with some friends and will be leaving Sunday morning. They need to be in Atlanta GA by Wednesday night. Its been 4 days since they left and I miss him like crazy. Hopefully this next week goes by quick and he'll be back before we know it.

Sorry these pictures upload all out of order. It's irritating, oh well I guess

24 week bumpdate

How far along? 24 weeks
Weight Gain/Loss: so far a total of 8lbs gained
Maternity clothes? no, still wearing my yoga pants and these awesome tanks that I got at Target.  The tanks are long and so comfortable.
Stretch marks? no new ones!
Sleep: sleeping has been getting better.  now that my UTI is gone I'm not getting up as much as before.  I am usually up once a night now, which is so much nicer than 3 or more.  I am still waiting for that 2nd trimester energy to kick in cause when the girls go down for a nap at 12 I'm ready for a nap too.  There are some days I don't feel tired but most days I need that 30 minute nap!
Best moment this week: that the girls are listening and doing well with daddy being gone (its been 3 days only 11 days till he's home).
Miss Anything? my energy
Movement: lots of kicks and rolling around in there!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: my boobs hurt so bad and there big (compaired to what I'm use to), normal aches and pains & TIRED
Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: Jason coming home.  We miss him already.  And hopefully deciding on the baby's name when daddy gets back!
How the siblings are doing: Kaylee and Keira are doing really well.  Keira likes to snuggle with me on the couch and rub my belly and she says "hi baby".  She's so gentle and it's the sweetest thing ever.  Kaylee likes to feel when she's kicking!  But all around they are both doing good and excited to meet their baby sissy.

How we spent our 1st day without daddy

The girls started the day off yesterday bright and early like 6:15am. They were both awake in time to say bye to daddy again. Mommy for sure wasn't ready to be up that early!! After daddy left at 6:40 the girls & I laid in bed watching cartoons. By 7:15 they were ready to go out to the living room for breakfast and more cartoons.

I am happy to say that the morning seemed to go by fast which was nice.My mom called while we were outside playing so we talked to her for a little bit before heading back inside for a much needed nap for all of us. The girls went down at 12 and kaylee was up by 2:30, Keira on the other hand woke up at 4:15...can we say growth spurt!!

Once the girls woke up I got all our stuff that we would need to go to grandmas and loaded everyone up including the dog. We made a pit stop by the bank for my brother and then headed to grandmas. We got there around 5:40 & grandma was suppose to be home around 7. So we played outside, swung on the swings, looked for frogs in the pond & visited the chickens while waiting for grandma. We then decided to come inside cause it was hot outside. Kaylee played some beautiful music on the piano and we read a ton of books.

Finally around 7:15 grandma arrived home. The girls were so excited to see her. Grandma had a beer & changed her clothes and we headed back outside to do some fruit & veggie picking. This is what the girls do every Monday when they come. So it was fun to see them. Grandma picked peaches & Kaylee would put them in the basket. The gurus would sample them as they would go. We then moved on to picking baby tomatoes and then green beans. We then went to see the chickens & baby chicks. They checked to see if there were any eggs (only 1). We then headed back inside to eat dinner. We had egg salad sandwiches with the peaches we picked. After eating I got the girls into their jammies and grandma read them 2 books and we then called daddy to say good night. The girls went right to sleep. I made my way in around 11 and baby girl decided it was time for a dance party and kept me awake for an hour before stopping. Jason sent me a text saying they were stopping in AZ for the night.

All in all we had a pretty good day. Not a lot of fighting and some pretty good listening plus the day went by pretty fast so that made it nice.

(I'm writing this from my iPad so all my pictures will show up at the bottom, still new at using blogger from here and not from my computer). It put my pictures all out of order. I don't know how to fix them so oh well.

An emotional good bye with daddy

Last night as I walked into the girls room, I saw them snuggled up and playing with daddy. Normally this wouldn't make me emotional or sad but last night was different cause come Wednesday morning daddy would be leaving for 2 weeks for a work event with my brother. But watching them last night just melted my heart to its core. After they played and read books it was time for bed which ment it was time to say bye to daddy since he was leaving at 6:30am. Watching him say good bye to the girls just broke my heart and I couldn't help but getting so emotional and start crying. Hearing Kaylee say "I'm gonna miss you so much daddy" just sent me over. Keira didn't really understand so she gave him the normal good night hug and kiss not knowing that daddy would be gone for the next 14 days. After the good byes daddy had to go get the airplane to bring it back to our house. (here's a little info on what hes doing. Every year Microsoft has a convention in Atlanta and jason drives a mig airplane from California to Georgia)So after he left to go get the plane I spent a little more time with the girls before putting them to bed. I was trying really hard not to cry in front of them but I couldn't help it. It made me feel so much better to have both of them come over and give me big hugs and ask if I was ok. I gave each of them a long and tight hug before tucking their sweet little bodies into bed. I came out to watch TV and I couldn't help but just cry. I don't know why I was crying so much besides blaming it on my pregnancy hormones. But knowing that the girls are going to miss daddy so much just makes me sad.

2 years ago he left and was gone for the same amount of time but Kaylee was too little to really even notice he was gone and I had my brother there for help. Last year when he went to CO for only a week the girls then were still to little to really know the difference. But this year especially with Kaylee she knows and it just makes me sad to think that she'llmbe sad that daddy isn't here. Its going to be hard to hear them ask for daddy but hopefully I can do some fun stuff with them and with Jason's mom so both the girls and I are distracted and these 2 weeks go by fast. I was thinking of making a chain link with paper and using that as a Count Down till Daddy gets Home. Maybe the girls won't be as sad if I try to make it fun for them. My hope for the next 2 weeks is that I don't let the girls fighting or not listening get to me, I need to try and stay calm. I want to do fun things with them and do lots of FaceTime with daddy. So do me a favor and keep us in your thoughts these next 2 weeks. Hopefully keeping busy makes the days just fly by. Today already seems to be going fast.

The girls were up at 6:15 this morning I guess they wanted to make sure to say bye to daddy one last time. But that wake up call was way to early for this mama. It's 9am and Kaylee has already told me 3 times that she misses daddy. But I kinda of have bribery on her cause daddy told her if she was good he'd bring her a present, so my plan to keep her listening and following directions is to tell her if she isn't good daddy isn't going to bring her a present. I'm not sure if Kaylee will be attending school today cause her being up so early she'll start melting down fast and I'm not sure how she'll be at school. Shes going to need a nap came 12:00. After nap time today we'll be heading to grandmas for the night. Not sure what the plan is for tomorrow it's suppose to be 102 here so you might find us swimming all day!!

There are only two things I'm loving today

1. My sweet hubby. I am going to miss him like crazy and I already can't wait to see him. Love you babe!!

2. My sweet girls. I love you two to the moon and back!!

Child Summer Book Swap

Recently I was contacted by Ashley from Happiness Is... to do a summer book swap for our kids.
Since my kids LOVE books I jumped on the idea, plus what kid doesn't like getting mail.

I need to find 6 mommies that would be interested in doing this.
It's really easy, I'll send you an email with the child's address that you'd be buying the book for with some instructions and you only have to buy ONE book.  By the end of it your child will get 36 books.
I am mean how awesome is that?!

So let me know if your interested and I'll email you with the info.
If your email is turned out please put your email in the comments section so I can email you the directions and the address you'll need to send the book.

Tomrrow morning at around 10am daddy leaves for the next 15 days.
I know the girls and I are going to miss daddy like crazy!
It's going to be harder this time around cause the girls are older and notice when daddy isn't here.
So I'm sure we'll be doing a lot of FaceTime calls with daddy over the next 15 days.
Jason and my brother are driving a mig plane to a microsoft convention in Atlanta Georgia (so they are drive from California to Georgia) and after the convention in Atlanta they have to go from Atlanta to Seattle WA for a day to do the same thing.  So my hope is that the next 15 days go by fast.

The girls and I will be staying with Jason's mom.
So tomorrow after Kaylee gets out of school we'll head home to pick up our dog and then head to grandmas where we'll hang out and do dinner.  We'll spend the night (cause I hate being alone at home at night).  Then we'll eat breakfast at Grandmas and then come home to hang out until Kaylee has to go to school M-W then go back.  But on Thursday - Sunday I'm not sure what we'll do.  I will come back to our house each day and check to make sure everything is ok.

We should have a good time at Grandma's.  Since it's suppose to be super HOT for the next 2 weeks its nice to know that we can go swim in grandma's pool.  Plus it's an extra bonus to have some help and an even better bonus to get dinner made for us.

I'm going to try to blog as much as I can.
Jason got me my iPad I just need to figure out how to do posts from blogger on there.
But if you follow me on instagram (@joeyleeelizabeth)  you'll be able to see lots of pictures of all the fun we're having.

So wish us luck that the next 2 weeks without daddy go well and that I don't lose my mind!

Here's a little update on Kaylee (Keira will have her update on July 29th)

It's been 2 months since Kaylee turned 3 and on June 11th she started summer preschool and has been LOVING it.  She goes 3 days a week M-W from 12:30 - 3:30 and when I pick her up each day she doesn't want to leave.  It's nice to know that she loves school so much.  She's making lots of friends and learning a bunch of new things.

On August 27th she'll be starting preschool for the fall school year.
August 27th - May 30th
She'll be going M-F from 9-12
I choose the morning so that  I can my mornings with just Keira and I so that we can have our time and I can teach her some things she's lacking in.  Plus with Kaylee going in the morning she'll be able to come home from school each day and be able to take a nap.

She is such a smart girl and sometimes she can be so SASSY!
She is such a funny kid, some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth has me LOL!

Weekend Wrap Up

Our Saturday morning started out with being able to sleep in till 8:30 and it was amazing. We got up and daddy made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We watched a little cartoons before getting a text from grandma around 10:30 to say Kaylee was on her way home. Kaylee showed up bearing gifts from the farmers market like colored carrots, raspberries and a butterfly to go in the front yard. Before Jason's mom left we had her come take a look our fruit trees we have in the backyard to see if stuff was ready to be picked. We have a plum tree (the plums will be ready in a week), apples (not ready), peaches (not ready), apricots (we picked a bunch and I'm going to make a pie) and lemons which Jason's mom took some home. The girls pick apricots at Jason's moms so they knew which ones were good and which ones weren't. After picking fruit we said good bye to grandma and decided that we would go out on the boat and have some fun, by 10am it was already 80, so we all got ready and headed out. We stopped and got some lunch and launched the boat. The girls love going fast on the boat. Our friend has a house on an island out there so we stopped by to hang out for awhile. Kaylee met a little girl named Harlow that was born 2 days after Kaylee and the two of them were the same height and weight. They had so much in common. All 3 girls had a blast playing together. After 3 hours of playing we decided to head back.  The girls had so much fun that they fell asleep on the boat, they slept for the 30 minute ride back to the dock and then continued to sleep while we wiped the boat down and got all our stuff together.

By the time we got home it was time to eat so we ordered some thai food for dinner.  After dinner we loaded up into the car cause I wanted to go to Joanns to get some fabric to make baby girl some blankets.  We had to go Saturday cause my coupon expired that day.  We spent 45 minutes in the fabric store which I could have spent a lot longer in there and I picked out two fabrics, had them cut, paid for them and headed home.  By this time is was after the girls bed time so when we got home the girls went straight to bed.  But we had a great Saturday.

On Sunday it was going to be a LAZY day or I was going to try to be anyways.  Jason and my brother had to go do some stuff for thier trip so they left around 8am.  The girls and I got up around 8:15am and had some breakfast.  Since I neglected doing the dishes for a few days I needed to do them.

So after starting a big load of dishes I decided to wash my fabric I got from the night before.  After starting that the girls and I snuggled on the couch to watch some cartoons for a little bit before heading out in the back for a little bit to play.  When it got to hot outside we came back in and did some coloring. (I didn't get any pictures of us being outside or coloring)  It was then time for a much needed nap cause Kaylee was having a hard time listening that morning.  So the girls went down for a nap.  While they slept I ate some lunch, watched some TV and worked on a little DIY project for their room.  I'm not going to show any pictures until its all done (but if you follow me on pinterest then you saw a sneak peek).  I then took a little nap and after taking a 4 hour nap the girls finally woke up.  But during nap time I got a call from daddy to say that they were going to go out on the boat again and asked if the girls and I wanted to go, I declined this time.  Once the girls woke up we had some apricots for a snack.  Daddy said he was going to be home around 6 (which he was).  I hadn't gone shopping so he stopped and picked up some dinner for us on his way home.

While eating dinner we watched some Shrek 2.  After dinner the girls were NOT listening and arguing so there lots of time outs for them.  I then decided to seperate them and make Keira sit on the couch with me and Kaylee would sit in her chair next to daddy.  We had quiet time for the 30 minutes before they needed to go to bed.  We had a great weekend and we're trying to soak all our time in with daddy cause he leaves on Wednesday.

Each morning when Kaylee wakes up she comes into our room to lay in bed with me and watch cartoon until Keira gets up.  Well on this lovely Monday morning  she didn't come into my room right away.  She decided to make a pit stop to the kitchen where we have a box that has some stuff that needs to be unpacked.  She then came into my room looking like a spotted leopard on one arm.  She nicely woke me up saying "mommy look I'm baby jaguar"  What a great way to wake up!  So after telling her that she knows better that she's not suppose to color on herself she climbed up into our bed to watch some cartoons.  When we got up to go eat some breakfast I had noticed she took almost all the stuff out of this box and had colored with markers all over the floor.  I guess it's a good thing that the markers are washables markers or this kid would be in serious trouble!!

(she also has marker drawings on her leg and foot)

23 week bumpdate with a comparison

How far along? 23 weeks
Weight Gain/Loss: total so far 8lbs
Maternity clothes? nope just comfortable yoga pants or maxi skirts.  I'm all about comfort right now.  My pre prego jeans still fit but they are not as comfortable to wear, especially when I sit down.
Stretch marks? no new ones, I have 2 from when I was prego with Kaylee.
Sleep: has been ok.  It could be better.  I've been waking up with my left hip sore from sleeping on it all night.  Since the dr told me I have a UTI I seem to be up even more in the middle of the night, which is super annoying!  Hopefully once I'm done with the medicine and the UTI is gone I'll be able to sleep better.  Kaylee came into our room the other night at 4:45am thinking it was time to be up, oh no...we sent her back to bed and then it took both the hubs and I forever to fall back asleep.
Best moment this week: feeling all the kicks from baby girl.  Jason's mom taking both Kaylee and Keira on Mondays for 8 hours to give me a break.  It was nice and very much needed.

Miss Anything? not having to pee every 5 minutes, being out of breathe and having more energy
Movement: lots more movement and kicks!  I love feeling her move.  She's more active during the day and at bed time she nows its time for bed and she sleeps.  Maybe that's a good sign that she'll be a good sleeper when she comes!  I can hope right?!
Food cravings: nothing really, right now I'm not really feeling hungry and nothing is sounding good besides my obsession with Chocolate shakes from Jack in the Box.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not eating breakfast right after waking up makes me feel a little queasy!
Gender: GIRL
(from looking at this I was bigger with Kaylee.  I think I was the smallest with Keira cause I didn't start showing with her until 22 weeks.  So with baby #3 I think I'm in between with Kaylee and Keira.)
Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy / Nervous about having to take medication for my UTI
Looking forward to: being done with this medicine and not having a UTI and hopefully picking out baby girls name soon.  My mom will be monogramming the gown and I'm ordering this super cute hat from etsy to match it for baby girl's homecoming outfit. Baby girls outfit will be pink and grey.  My mom will monogram it and I'm going to add the ribbon and bow.
