Keira is 20 months old

Keira Alexis,

You turned 20 months on July 29th.  It's hard to believe that in just 3 short months your going to be a BIG SISTER and I cant wait to see how you are with your baby sister.  Your so gentle and sweet to your baby dolls that I think your going to adjust just fine to baby K.  And another thing I cant believe is that in 4 months we'll be celebrating your 2nd birthday.  How is this possible already?!  You are growing and changing everyday.  But I have enjoyed watching you grow and learn these past 20 months with you.  Your starting to get such a sassy attitude, which is cute.  It's not the same sassy attitude that your older sister has so I'm ok with it for now.  You think your big like Kaylee and you want to do everything that she does, if Kaylee makes a noise you try and make the same noise, if Kaylee climbs up the slide backwards you do the same thing...you want to be just like sissy.

I love how if someone gets hurt you run over and ask if their ok while patting them on their back, sweetest thing ever!  You can be such a sweet girl but there are times when you can be mean.  You sometimes will just walk up to Kaylee and pull her hair for no reason or hit her.  You will yell at Kaylee is she does something wrong to you and then you point to time out!

STATS:
Weight: 24lbs (grandma's home scale)
Height: 34" long
Clothes: 18-24 months
Shoes: size 4
Diapers: size 4
Teeth: 12 (no canines yet)

FAVORITE TOYS:  baby dolls, baby dolls, baby dolls, books & baby dolls.  You love your dolls and you carry them around the house every where and then you need all 3 of your babies when you go down for a nap and bed time.  You are very gentle with your babies and oh so sweet.
FAVORITE FOODSEVERYTHING  you are such a good eater, its fantastic!  You will try pretty much anything.  While we were staying at grandmas house you ate a BBQ oyster.  Does any one else have a 20 month old that will even try oysters?!  It makes it really easy for mommy to do breakfast, lunch and dinner for you because you are not picky at all!  I wish your older sister would eat as good as you!

DISLIKES: when your sister picks on you, when you get told NO, when Kaylee corrects you for doing something, when you don't get your way and having to come in from being outside.

LIKES: copying everything that Kaylee does, being outside, going up the slide the wrong way, snuggling with mommy, eating, dancing, singing and grandma.

TALKING:  you are talking up a storm and putting more words together to make sentences.  You talk non stop and you little voice is so cute to listen too.  I was a little worried a couple months ago cause you weren't talking as much cause Kaylee was always talking for you, but you've found your voice and you now talk over her!  Sometimes you talk a little too loudly and we've been trying to work on "inside" voices for when the baby comes.  Its gotten better.

THINGS YOU'VE BEEN UP TO THIS MONTH:

* your a big fan of watching cartoons and singing and dancing along with them.

* you are a funny little girl and you know how to make mommy laugh just when I need it.

* you are very caring and I love that about you.  When mommy doesn't feel good or if I say "ouch" you run over and make sure I'm ok or you sit with me on the couch to snuggle.  Friday's after Kaylee leaves to go to grandma's thats our time together, which I treasure so much.  We like to read books, watch cartoons and play.  I enjoy this time cause I know in a couple months it will be different.

* you have a new routine on Monday's.  Grandma use to pick you and sissy up at 4:30 but now she picks you guys up at 12, she drops Kaylee off at school and then you go back to grandma's house read a book and then you take a nap before going to get sissy at 3:30.  You then go back to grandmas to have your fun.  Although mommy misses you while your gone for those 8 hours but mommy does need that break.

* you like to get on Kona and pretend she is a horse.  Kona is such a good dog that she just lays there and lets you do whatever to her.  You've just recently started saying "giddy up"

* you can climb onto the rocking horse

* you can climb onto Kaylee's bike and reach the pettles but cant quite make it go.  You might be getting a tricycle for your birthday

I want to enjoy these last few months with you before our normal routine changes with the presence of your new little sister.  My hope for you and your sister is that you don't feel left out when your new sister comes but that you feel more loved from us and your new sister.  You and your sister are still the most important people in my life and adding another little person to the mix isn't going to change that at all.

Sweet Girl I love you to the moon and back!

26 week bumpdate

How far along? 26 weeks
Weight Gain/Loss: I've gained a total of 15lbs so far
Maternity clothes? nope still yoga pants and tank tops or my pajama bottoms
Stretch marks? no new ones!
Sleep: since coming back home from Jason's moms to sleep in our own bed I've been sleeping so much better.  I'm still getting up once to go potty.  Usually when Jason isn't here I don't sleep good at all but spending this week by myself I was able to still sleep pretty good.
Best moment this week: Jason surprising us.  He was due home on Saturday evening and he surprised us by driving all night and making it home by Saturday afternoon.  Seeing the girls faces light up when they saw daddy just melted my heart.
Miss Anything? no this week has been pretty productive.  I've been hit with the nesting bug on 2 different occasions which has been nice to get things super clean around the house.
Movement: lots of movement, kicks and I even think hiccups.  The hiccups always feel so weird.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Happy
Looking forward to: spending the next 2 days with daddy and catching up on all the time he wasn't here.  We should have baby girl's name finalized in a few days which I'm so excited about.
How the siblings are doing: the girls have been pretty much the same.  They know the belly is there and Keira is more loving of the belly.  She likes to rub it and give kisses.  Kaylee likes to feel when baby K is kicking.  We're slowly getting back into our routine and the girls behavior is improving which I'm happy about.

I had my 26 week check up on Thursday July 26th.  That appt went well.  When I had made this appt I requested a different dr cause the one I had seen prior was a real jerk.  This lady dr was really nice and answered all my questions.

Weight: 131lbs
Bp: 116/80
Measuring: 24 weeks
Urine: good
Heartbeat: good

The OB gave me my slip to go and take my glucose test, which is set of today (Monday July 30th).  I had to fast and eat nothing after 8pm the night before or nothing in the morning.  I could only drink water.  My glucose test this time was 2 hours instead of 1, the OB said they changed it.  Who knows, all I know is that I hope I pass this and not have to take the 3 hour one.  With both Kaylee and Keira I had to do the 3 hour one.  So fingers crossed for me that I pass!  I will also be getting my Rh shot at my next visit at 30 weeks.  I cant believe were only 2 weeks away from the 3rd trimester.  YAY

Friday Randoms

1. So daddy was suppose to be home today but unfortunately he won't be home till tomorrow. His show on Thursday lasted longer than he thought it was going to. He thought it was only till 8 and then they were going to pack up and drive to Oregon and then drive the rest of the way today. Well they were informed that the show was going
to go till 11:30 which means they won't leave till Friday and make it home by Saturday sometime. I was really disappointed when he said he wasn't going to be home today but what can ya do. He's getting paid so I guess I can't complain to much.

2. Even though we've been home this whole week trying to get back into our routine it doesn't seem to be helping in the girls behavior department. They are still not listening and they are still screaming and fighting with each other. I can't wait for daddy to get home. I think I acquired a sore throat from all the yelling I've been doing at them. I cherish the silence of nap time everyday that's for sure!!

3. I have to take my dreaded glucose test on Monday morning. At least I'll get 2 hours to myself while daddy watches the girls. For some reason my glucose test is 2 hours instead of 1 for some reason. I asked the dr if they changed it cause I thought it was only a hour and she said yes that they changed it. I can't eat anything past 8pm on Sunday and I'm only allowed to drink water. No breakfast in the morning either. Good thing I'll be there when they open at 7:30. Sorry no bumpdate today it will be posted on Monday. 26 weeks today, now it seems like the weeks are going by fast or maybe it's just because I haven't had a second to sit and relax with daddy being gone and chasing these crazy toddlers of mine!

4. This week I finished making baby K's baby blankets and I also made her some taggies. I want to get some more fabrics and make her 2 more blankets. For never making blankets I like the way they turned out.

5. I have been nesting in spurts like crazy. On Thursday I cleaned all the blinds and window seals in the living room, dusted, swept the kitchen and did 2 loads of laundry. Its nice to have a clean house. Hopefully these spurts of energy last so I can get things cleaned. Our bedroom is the next thing on the list to get organized so that we can bring in the pack n play for baby K. I also need to wash the car seat and swing cover. There are still some things
that we need to buy for the baby.

6. I think I've figured out a theme for Keira's 2nd birthday.... A Barnyard Theme. Shes into farm animals and making the noises, so its fitting for her. So once I decided on the theme I headed over to Pinterest for some ideas which I've found a lot of. So I'm excited for her party and sad at the same time cause there is only 4 months till she turns 2. Where the heck has the time gone?! I'll be doing her 20 month post next week. I need to get my computer back so that I can edit her pictures.

Coming up on the blog:

• Monday - 26 week bumpdate
• Tuesday - Keira's 20 months old

Wordless Wednesday - My Cuties

Tuesday Tidbits

1. As of today daddy will be home in 4 days! YAY. Were in the home stretch. He'll have been gone a total of 17 days, the longest he's ever been away. I will be so glad when he gets home and I know the girls will too. The girls have talked with daddy everyday since he's been gone. Sometimes through out the day both girls will say they miss daddy and they want him home.

2. On Sunday morning we left grandmas to head home for the day until she sent me a text saying they were having septic problems and it would probably be better to stay home (they had no water or toilets). So I decided yesterday that we would just spend the rest of the week at home. I'm hoping to get the girls back into their routine and hope that by doing so their behavior will improve. I am so glad to be back in my own bed again! After Kaylee got out of school yesterday I dropped them off for their usual Monday visit with grandma and collected the rest of our stuff. We've been doing good at home and I do see improvement in the way there acting. I really approximate all the help I got from Jason's mom the past week in a half. It helped me a lot!

3. This past week I've been a crafting machine. Doing a bunch of DIY crafts for the girls room. So while the girls were at grandmas yesterday I got to work putting all their new decor in its place. If you follow me on instagram you got to see a sneak peek but I plan to take better pictures with my good camera and do a whole post on their room. I have some more things to do before it's fully finished. I have to get 2 20x30 frames and pick the pictures I want to use. I also want to print out a few more printables for both the girls and the baby's side. I also need to get more frames for the baby's side for her newborn pictures.

4. I have my 26 week dr appt on Thursday. Hopefully they'll tell me when I get to take the dreaded glucose test and I have to get my Rh shot by 28 weeks (I'm Rh negative). We're getting closer to the 3rd trimester and I feel like we have so much stuff that we need to get. I've slowly been getting smaller size clothes 0-9 months. (I know your probably asking shouldn't you have all those sizes already since I have 2 young toddlers? My answer is when I thought we were done have babies I actually sold almost all of the girls clothes...so now I have to start over. I also sold a lot of their blankets, which is why I'm making some). It's time to bust out my pen and paper and start making a list of things I need to get.

5. Sunday night was the finale of The Bachelorette and I was so happy that she picked Jef. They make a cute couple. I though her and Arie had more of a physical connection then anything else. But I'm excited to see who they pick as the next bachelor, maybe Sean. Monday night I watched the first episode of Bachelor Pad. I've never watched it before but it seems like it'll be good entertainment.

6. I really need to start thinking about Keira's 2nd birthday. On the 29th of this month she'll be 20 months old which leaves me 4 months tiller birthday but I have to remember ill have a newborn right before her birthday so I need to figure out a theme and start slowly working on the decor so that I have it all done and taken care of before new baby K comes. There are so many cute ideas out there that I've pinned on pinterest but I just don't know. Any ideas???

7. I've been a pinning machine on pinterest pinning newborn poses and sibling poses that I can't wait to try with the girls. For their sibling pictures I want them all to be wearing lace petit rompers. Kaylee already has a brown one so I need to pick two more colors for Keira and the baby... Ideas on what colors I should for them that match brown??

Mommy breakdown

On Thursday I had my first mommy breakdown since daddy's been gone. I will admit that it's been hard on me and the girls with daddy being gone. He's never been gone this long from them.

Thursday morning started out at 6:45am and the girls woke up in a pretty good mood, we ate breakfast and got ready. We left grandmas house and made a stop by Michael's on the way home to get a few more things for the girls room and also get them a "be good" gift from daddy. Kaylee had found some toy so she was distracted while I picked a Brave book and coloring book out for her. We then headed to the dollar section and I got Keira a coloring book with some crayons. When we got back the girls were there usual selves "where hungry", "we want this", "Keira stop" but yesterday was different they were acting different and I knew it was going to be a long day. From 10am till almost nap time all they did was fight and not listen to a word I said. I was starting to get really frustrated with them. I was frustrated with them not listening, Kaylee's back talking and just being a plain meany to Keira.

Before the girls went down for a nap my aunt stopped by to drop off Kaylee's birthday present. She got her a 125 piece pretend food set. She was all excited about it. So I told her that if her and Keira took a good nap that we'd open it when they got up and check the mail to see if daddy's gift was there (the gift I got for them at michaels was from daddy). They went down for their nap great. I even got a nap in. Kaylee woke up around 2:30 and asked if we could open her food. I told her as soon as Keira woke up we could and that we'd check the mail. She was pretty good and sat on the couch and arched cartoons while she waited for Keira. Keira woke up about 45 minutes later. I got her up and as I promised I opens d the pretend food, they played nicely for about 15 minutes before the fighting begun with hitting and pushing and throwing toys. So here I was again raising my voice over theirs to get them to calm down and reprimand them for throwing and not playing nice. (I should mention that I had the worst headache ever). So after getting them semi calmed down, trying to distract then I asked if I should go check to see if there was anything in the mail for them. They screamed YES with excitement. So I brought back in their gifts and told them that these were from daddy and that daddy wanted them to be good girls until he got home and if they were they would get another present. So they ripped into their bags to find their gifts. They started coloring right away and literally 30 seconds after they started arguing and fighting because Keria wanted to color in Kaylee's coloring book and Kaylee was screaming cause she didn't want her too. So Keira got mad and started screaming at Kaylee and then throwing her crayons. That was my first breakdown, I screamed at them and just lost it ( I hate getting like that and I tried to stay calm but I just couldn't take it anymore). I took their stuff away and loaded them up to head to grandmas house. I pleated with them to be good and listen when we got to grandmas. Which lasted all of 15 minutes, before the back taking and not listening began from Kaylee. She then jumped off the couch saying she had to go potty. So I told her to go and hurry, she took her sweet ass time and then ended up peeing all over the bathroom floor cause she took to long. I took a deep breathe in and cleaned her and the pee mess up. I told her to go sit on the couch and not to get up until grandma got home (which was 30 minutes). So she sat there while I tried to take deep breathes and stay calm. Grandma then walked in the door, I was relieved but still stressed beyond belief. She told the girls to get there shoes on and they were going to do some stuff out in the garden. While I was getting Keira ready called came out of grandmas room in a t-shirt, undies and her shoes. I told her that her shorts were on the couch and to put them on. She then proceeded to jump around saying she had to pee. I told her to go run to the bathroom and go, again she took her sweet time and ended up peeing on the bathroom floor again. It had only been about 20 minutes before where I had just cleaned her pee up. I lost it. I just couldn't take it anymore. Grandma heard me and came to my rescue. She cleaned up Kaylee while I cleaned up the bathroom floor again. She then took them outside so that I could have a much needed break. I got about an hour of alone time. Which I very much needed. I was texting with Jason during all of this and he was trying to tell me they I needed to stay calm cause itz not good for me or the baby to get that worked up and I tried really hard bot to but I just couldn't take it.

Grandma brought the girls back in from outside and I gave them a bath while grandma made dinner. We ate and after dinner the girls got ready for bed. I relaxed on the couch with Jason's parents for a little bit before heading to bed because I was overly exhausted. I was hoping by going to bed that Friday would be a better day!

25 week bumpdate

How far along? 25 weeks
Weight Gain/Loss: according to Jason's moms scale I weigh 128lbs, so that's a total weight gain so far of 12lbs. With Kaylee I gained 25lbs total and with Keira I gained 18lbs, so we'll see what I gain with this little one
Maternity clothes? nope still my yoga pants and tank tops
Stretch marks? no new ones!
Sleep: sleep has been going not the greatest. I've been sleeping on a trundle bed while we stay at Jason's moms while he's been gone. I share that room with the girls and they have been waking up at 6-6:30 each morning...to early for this mama. Still only getting up once a night. Although baby k has decided that it's time for a party when I lay down to go to sleep. She kicks for almost an hour each night.
Best moment this week: watching the girls have so much fun at grandmas house and being able to see daddy when we do facetime.
Miss Anything? DADDY! And not being able to sleep past 7am
Movement: lots and lots of movement and kicks.  They are starting to get stronger
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really.
Gender: GIRL

Labor Signs: None.
Symptoms: just exhausted without daddy here to help but I am so happy to have the help of Jason's mom.
Belly Button in or out? In the middle (its not really in but its not out)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Mood: Drained
Looking forward to: daddy coming home, only 8 more days.  Finalizing baby girls name and being able to start monorgramming things and getting her name sign decorated. I'm working on cute stuff for the girls room that I can't wait to share.
How the siblings are doing: the girls are still doing awesome.  nothing to complain about.  They cant wait to meet baby sissy!

A picnic in the backyard & other randomness

On Monday when we returned back to grandmas house after spending the day at home. Grandma got home 20 minutes after we got there. When she walked in she asked if we wanted to get stuff together to go outside and have a picnic. The screamed YES with excitement. So grandma got the food ready while the girls & I grabbed a blanket and headed outside to set it up. She brought out crackers, cheese, salami and plums. We sat outside enjoying the cooler weather and our picnic snack before dinner. After our picnic the girls decided they wanted to play baseball. I think a tee ball set for Christmas is in order for the girls. After baseball, grandpa would have been proud to see the girls running around the cones like they do in football (grandpa is a football coach in town).
After running around the cones, grandma wanted to go check on the chickens. We picked up the trey of food so the dog wouldn't get it and headed out to the chicken pen. The girls love checking for eggs and feeding them. It was Kaylee's turn to feed the chicks and she shakes the bucket of food and all the chicks come running. After feeding the chicks we came inside for the girls to take a bath and then get ready for bed.

I will say these past 9 days not having to cook dinner has been awesome! Chasing these girls and trying to find stuff to do to keep us busy has been so tiring so not having to cook has been nice. So for the next 9 days I am going to thoroughly enjoy not having to cook or think of dinners that need to be made.

We are down to the single digits in the countdown till daddy's home. As of today Thursday July 19th we only have 9 days. We have been keeping track at home on Kaylee's easel. I can't wait for Jason to be home. 17 days without him sucks. It makes me really appreciate everything he does for our family.

This week during nap time I've been working on baby blankets for baby k and lots of projects for decorating the girls room. I can't wait to get everything all decorated in there. If I can recreate the vision I have in my head their room will be too cute. I will be giving no speak peeks on the blog until its fully done. But if you follow me on onstage am then you've seen a little sneak peek. I am glad that this week is flying by. I'm almost 25 weeks along and this kid has been giving me some big kicks and has found her new favorite spot up in my ribs, which doesn't feel awesome at all. I have my 26 week check up next Friday where we'll figure out when I'm gonna take my glucose test and get my Rh shot (which I need by 28 weeks). I'm really really hoping that this time around I pass my one hour glucose test and not have to do the 3 hour one. I had to do the 3 hour one with both Kaylee and Keira cause my numbers were off by a few points, not fair. We will be enjoying grandmas birthday this Friday (the 20th). While we were at Michael's getting supplies for the girls room, I was trying to figure out a cute gift to get for Jason's mom. Kaylee wanted to go down the unfinished bird house isle. So the girls agreed upon a cute birdhouse, I got this cute white picket fence, got some green piping to use as grass and then got some small flowers to use as like a garden. It turned out so cute. (grandma doesn't check the blog that often so I can show you a picture)

Ok I'm done rambling enjoy some pictures now (all out of order of course)

One sassy little girl

She may come off as a sweet girl but looks can be deceiving. Since daddy has left Kaylee has turned into a super sassy little girl who talks back way to much and isn't listening at all. She has spent a lot of time in time out and she is slowly wearing me down. I am trying to stay as calm as possible but it does get hard when she knows she's testing your patience and she pushes it to the edge. I don't know if she's acting like this cause daddy is gone or if its a phase she's going through but it's driving me nuts!

So yesterday mid morning I loaded the girls up in the car and we headed home for a change of scenery in hopes that might change her attitude. Being home must have been what she needed cause I was able to clean up the whole kitchen & bathroom while the girls played nicely with no fighting, with lots of listening and no sassy talking back. It was a nice change and I'm glad she changed her attitude once we got home.

When the girls woke up from their nap we headed back to grandmas. When we got there the girls wanted to swim. I was all for it in hopes that it would wear them out and they would sleep in later than 6am. Nope no such luck.

This time away from daddy is making me realize how much he helps me with the girls and I really appreciate everything he does for us. On the girls chalkboard easel I've made a daddy will be home countdown. As of today only 12 days to go. Enjoy some pictures from our weekend. Saturday we went to the farmers market and swam. Sunday we spent most of our day relaxing at home
