She may come off as a sweet girl but looks can be deceiving. Since daddy has left Kaylee has turned into a super sassy little girl who talks back way to much and isn't listening at all. She has spent a lot of time in time out and she is slowly wearing me down. I am trying to stay as calm as possible but it does get hard when she knows she's testing your patience and she pushes it to the edge. I don't know if she's acting like this cause daddy is gone or if its a phase she's going through but it's driving me nuts!
So yesterday mid morning I loaded the girls up in the car and we headed home for a change of scenery in hopes that might change her attitude. Being home must have been what she needed cause I was able to clean up the whole kitchen & bathroom while the girls played nicely with no fighting, with lots of listening and no sassy talking back. It was a nice change and I'm glad she changed her attitude once we got home.
When the girls woke up from their nap we headed back to grandmas. When we got there the girls wanted to swim. I was all for it in hopes that it would wear them out and they would sleep in later than 6am. Nope no such luck.
This time away from daddy is making me realize how much he helps me with the girls and I really appreciate everything he does for us. On the girls chalkboard easel I've made a daddy will be home countdown. As of today only 12 days to go. Enjoy some pictures from our weekend. Saturday we went to the farmers market and swam. Sunday we spent most of our day relaxing at home

Alright. I'm completely and totally jealous of that pool! haha I would give anything to have a pool at our house, but with our darn winters we would only be able to use it for 4 months out of the year. I hope the rest of your week gets better. Kids definitely know how to push buttons when daddy's are away!
ReplyDeleteGrandma has a nice pool & I'm glad she has one cause being in it on those 100 degree days is awesome. Thank you I hope this week goes by fast. Only 11 more days till daddy's home
DeleteI am with you! We are in that phase where I get worn down often by the toddler back-talk. Sweet as pie when they want to be, but the toddler comes out frequently. Hang in there! Hope your hubby gets home quickly :)
ReplyDeleteYeah she can be sweet when she wants to be but lately it's been the not so sweet little girl who likes to talk back
DeleteIt's amazing how being home can change everything! I'm glad sassy pants in back to herself;)
ReplyDeleteI did a month in separate states of my husband when Mackenzie was 2/3 months old. It was hard and I definately appreciated him so much more when we were finally in the same state. I can't imagine with 2 little ones! Good thing you have your family near by.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!!

ReplyDeleteThat's it. I need that pool!! That pool just made me want to visit you guys more! :) Sorry she's being so sassy. I think being away from home just sometimes does that to the kiddos... at least mine it does! And then she misses her daddy too? Just a bad combo for a momma! I'm sending you hugs my love :)
