soaking up the sunshine and the sand between our toes!

Tomorrow {June 1st} our family is headed to its annual week long beach trip to Capitola.

We will spending the week here visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, trying to find tad poles, making sand castles, visiting the Santa Cruz Boardwalk and going to Fullerton to ride the train.

It will be the girls 2nd time and the babies first time.

I cant wait for all the fun we are about to have!

Last day of preschool & Kaylee's teacher gift

Today is Kaylee's last day of preschool

Man has she grown a lot this school year!

She has had a blast this year and has made a lot of friends

Her teachers have been great with her even when she had a few rough patches.

 

A couple weeks ago a folder got sent home with her that shows how much she's grown.  It amazes me, its showed her progress in September, January & April.  At the beginning of the year she could barely write a straight line or even come close to writing her name.  In September there was nothing in the name section, in January she was able to draw a K and by April she could write her first and last name.  It was the same was with writing numbers, in September she could only write the number 0 & 1, in January she could write numbers 0, 1, 5, 7, 8 & 9, and by April she could write 1-10 except 4.  I think that's pretty impressive.  She's also able to draw a few shapes {circle and square}.

As an end of the school year gift she had two options, to give her teachers a plant or some cookies.  She went with the plant.  So while I was out grocery shopping I picked out a cute plant {they don't do flowers at school} and this super cute water can for the plant to sit in.  I then made a cute little tag on picmonkey and attached it with ribbon.

Keira Update

Keira Alexis,

I can't believe that in 6 months time you will be 3 years old.  You have brought so much joy into our life. 

You can be so stubborn at times, your grandma said your daddy was the same way.  You are such a great big sister and Kendall just adores you! 

With each birthday that approaches I get a little more sentimental about them cause you girls are just growing up way to fast.  I love your unexpected hugs and I lub a you's, they make my day.  You can be such a sweet girl when you want to be.  You are still not interested at all in potty training, I'm wondering if you'll ever be!  Once our beach trip is over, we are really going to start trying.  I know your almost there, you can hold your pee pee for long periods of time and when you wake up from your naps you are dry most of the time.

THINGS I WANT TO REMEMBER:

* Kaylee attended her first year of preschool and rocked it.  She went to school 5 days a week Monday - Friday from 9-12.  She made a lot of friends and learned so many new things.  She loves going to school and cant wait to go back to preschool again next year.  The teacher said she loves to help others, circle time is her favorite and she likes recess.  Its so cute to hear her talk about all the fun she has at school with all her friends Kat, Michelle & Grace.

* Kaylee has been going to Jason's moms house since she was 6 months old and still goes 2 days a week {Keira now goes with her both those days}.  Kaylee LOVES to go to grandma's.  Monday mornings grandma comes to pick up Kaylee and takes her to school, picks her up from school and then they go back to her face for lots of fun.  Friday night they go to grandma's and spend the night.  They always have a blast when there.

* Kaylee can sing a lot of different songs, thanks to preschool.  She loves to sing and Kendall always gets a huge smile on her face when Kaylee sings to her.  Kaylee has even taught Keira some of her songs and they like to sing them together.

* She still takes one nap a day.  She goes down about 12:30 after eating lunch and will sleep till about 2:30. 

* She loves to be outside.  She could play outside all day if we let her.  Everyday after she wakes up from nap, she gets a snack and then heads to the backyard to eat her snack and then play.  She will swing, play on the slide and ride her bike.

* About a month ago she learned to buckle herself into her car seat all by herself!

* She will start swimming lessons this summer and she is so excited.  It's one day a week for 30 minutes for 5 weeks.

* We will be going to the beach again this year for a whole week.  We went to the beach with Jason's parents last year and will be doing it again in 2 weeks.  The girls are looking forward to it and so am I. 

* She can be very dramatic at times!  We like to call her our DRAMA QUEEN.

 





Kendall is 7 months old

Kendall Morgan:

These 7 months have passed in the blink of an eye.  I seriously cant believe how fast it's gone by.  We are over that half way point and you are closer to being a big ONE year old.  Honestly it makes your mama a little sad at how fast it's going.  When they say kids grow up fast, they aren't lying.  For some reason it feels like you've grown a lot faster than both of your sisters did.  I'm just trying to soak in all your little milestones, each smile, all those belly giggles and each snuggle I can get my hands on.  As you get bigger you would rather put yourself to sleep than to snuggle, so when you do snuggle up with me and take a nap, I just soak up every second of it.  You are such a happy baby mommy, daddy and your sisters only have to look at you and you get that big beautiful smile on your face.  Try to not to grow up so fast, ok?

Teeth: at the end of your 6 month we were still at ZERO teeth

  

SLEEPING:  We had about a week or so of your waking up in the middle of the night but that was due to you having an ear infection and bronchial infection.  This month you also decided that you didn't want to be swaddled anymore.  You such a great sleeper, you go to bed at 8:15 after you drink your final bottle and wake up around 7:15am each morning.  Usually you will play with your lovie until around 7:30am when we get up for the day.  When you are tired you will rub your eyes.

EATING:  You are drinking 7oz of formula every 4 hours.  You are eating baby food, 2-3 times a day.  We also started giving little bits of people food.  So far you've tried Ritz crackers and a little bit of banana.  Next on our food to try is puffs.  You pick up the food in your hand and try really hard to put it in your mouth, sometimes you make it and sometimes you don't!

LIKES:
* watching every move your sisters make.  You are so mesmerized with them and think that they are such to cool for school.  Nobody can get your attention when your watching your sisters.
* your exersaucer, you love that thing.  You like to jump up and down in it, you can actually play with all the toys and love to chew on all the little things dangle.
* sitting on the floor and taking your toys out of your little basket.
* bath time, you are now finally kicking your legs and splashing around.
* your lovie, you CANT go to sleep without it.
* swinging in your swing.  You love to be outside and swing in the swing.

DISLIKES:
* you don't like when your sisters yell.  When they scream and yell it makes you cry, boo boo lip and all.
* TEETHING....teething can suck it!

There isn't really anything other than yelling that you don't like.  You are such a happy baby.

MILESTONES:

* you can sit up totally unassisted without any help

* you started giving kisses when asked {melts my heart}

* you gave me my first kiss without me asking {I cried!} {5.20.13}

* you said your first word....DADA! {5.10.13}

* you started bouncing when someone holds you

* you started playing peek a boo with mommy {5.25.13}

* you pass toys back and forth hand to hand

* you know your name and will turn in that direction

FIRSTS:

* you got your first big sickness this month.  After a month of you not feeling like yourself and the dr telling me that it was just a virus, I knew after close to a month and it wasn't going away that I took you back in and they said you had an ear infection and bronchial infection.  We had to give you breathing treatments for a week and meds for your ear.  We went back after a week for a re-check and everything checked out 100% clear.  I'm so glad that your back to your happy self.

* you started playing peek a boo back. {5.25.13}, I was shocked when you did it that morning.  I went to get you out of your crib and you put your lovie over your eyes, waited a second and then took it down and had a huge smile on your face. You then did it again and this time I asked you where you were and then peek a boo after you took your lovie off your eyes.  You love it.

* you sat in the grass for the first time {5.25.13} and you loved it.  Your sisters didn't like the grass at all but you didn't seem to mind it!

THINGS I WANT TO REMEMBER:

* you give me a hug each morning and each time you wake up from your nap.  I will always cherish those hugs cause I know I wont get them as often as you get bigger.

* you love to babble and when someone makes a certain noise you try to mimic it.

* you get the biggest smile on your face when anyone says "dada" {its so cute}

* you like to have music {white noise}playing when you take a nap or go to sleep

* you attended your sister Kaylee's 1st spring concert for school {where she cried the whole time}

* you are ticklish all over your body.  Sometimes all I have to do is touch you and start giggling.

I figured since my sweet girl will be 7 months old in 4 days that I better get the rest of her 6 month photos posted.  I love all of her photos and want to print and hang all of them.  I'm still in disbelief that my girl is almost 7 months old, we are one step closer to a year old {insert mommy crying like a baby}
