Guest Post: Little Girl Birthday Ideas

Perfect Ideas: Little Girl’s Birthday Party

Another year:  another birthday party. What are you doing for your little girl this year?

Like so many of us, coming up with a new birthday party idea can become frustrating. It feels like we’ve reached our limit! Especially with little girls: their ideas and likes are always changing, so birthdays vary every year.
Lucky for you I have some quick and easy ideas for you to create for your little girl’s special day, that can help carry on as a tradition throughout her many birthday parties to come. What’s better than having the traditions to keep and cherish, and for them to pass it on to their little girl when the time comes?

Photo Booth

Why not create your very own photo booth for the birthday party? You can create these to match any birthday party theme or idea. You can go as simple as using a girlie backdrop with a cute blanket to hang, or you can go crazy and cut out stencils for each guest to use; think crowns, lips, hats, etc. These will be a hit for sure! By having this as a tradition every year for your little girl, you’ll get to keep the memories in photos, as well has change the photo booth every year to fit to her liking.

T-Shirts

Nothing stands out more than the birthday girl wearing her very own shirt to separate herself from her party guests. Not only is this a great idea, but you can create these girl birthday shirts every year, making it a fun tradition. You can style it to match her theme, her choice of color and what she particularly likes at the moment in her life. She’ll get to keep the shirts, and you’ll get to keep the memories. She’ll love standing out, and she’ll look absolutely adorable.

Time Capsule

Every year for her birthday, have her write a list of all the things she is currently obsessed with. It could be her favorite color, movie, a dress or a pair of shoes she always wants to wear, her favorite word (if she’s young enough to first start talking), her favorite animal, etc. Get creative with this one! After she creates her list, take a picture of her holding it, and put it in a “time capsule” for her to open on her next birthday. It’s fun seeing the changes and you’ll get to keep the memories forever.

Mommy and Me Time

Before the birthday party (and this could be the day of, or the day before) set aside some quality girl time together with your daughter. It begins to get hard to set this time apart, so having this done every year for her birthday will become extra special. You guys could go to a movie, go to the spa, and maybe just even go to the park! Quality time is always a cherished thing—and she’ll remember it forever.

A trampoline surprise for the girls...

Some of the fun benefit's of Jason's job is that customers get rid of things and ask Jason if he wants it.  Last week a customer was getting rid of their trampoline and Jason said we would take it.
He came home with it and we told the girls to wait inside while we set it up and we would call them out when the surprise was all set up.  The girls LOVE surprises, so they couldn't wait to come out and see what daddy had brought home for them.
We got it all set up and daddy called the girls, they came running and were so excited to see the trampoline.  The great thing about it is that it wears them out!  I mean who wouldn't love that!  I love that the trampoline has a net around it.

The girls are getting yet another surprise, a customer was getting rid of playhouse and Jason said heck yeah we would take it.  We've been looking at getting one for the girls for a long time, so to get a free one = WINNING!  The girls are gonna flip when they see it!  I see lots of time spent on the new playhouse with the 3 of them.  Here is what it looks like

Easy Canvas Prints Review & Giveaway

If you know me then you know that I LOVE to have a ton of pictures hanging in my house.
I love a good gallery wall and being able to show off pictures of my adorable girls.
I was recently contacted by Easy Canvas Prints to receive a product in exchange for my opinion.

I've had my eye on getting some canvas's of my girls and having a canvas gallery wall in my house, so I of course jumped on the chance.  After being contacted I knew I needed to go outside and take a new updated picture of my 3 girls.

Easy Canvas Prints site was so easy to follow.  I just uploaded my picture and followed the easy steps.  I got to view my picture at the end to make sure I liked how it was.  The site was easy to go back on and make any changes I had it I wanted to move my picture of just a little bit.  The quality of the canvas was amazing.  The canvas got to me quickly and I am just in love with it.

The canvas I received was a 16x20 and I plan to hang it in my living room and make a gallery wall around this adorable picture.  I also did some other work with Easy Canvas Prints and was able to get 4 8x10 canvas prints of my littlest.  I'm also doing a gallery wall in her room and I plan to order her 12 month canvas {once I take the picture} and add it to the gallery wall.  I am so in love with these canvases.  Great company to work with, the site is so easy to use and the shipping was fast!

A little update

1.  We are all moved in!  YAY.  We started moving stuff on Monday July 29th and we got everything all over on June 1st.  Since then there's been lots of unpacking, organizing and figuring out where everything is going to go.  I cant wait to get everything unpacked and start decorating, I have a lot of ideas flowing through my head on how I want things to look.  On Sunday morning we were all up early and out front to do some work in the front yard.  Daddy leveled out the yard and then laid some rock down, of course the girls had to get in on the action!

2.  Last Friday Jason, the girls and I went to go and look at a potential wedding venue.  I was really excited about it and the venue was really pretty.  We then got talking about $$ and my excitement went away.  Jason's mom knows the owner and was talking to her, our budget for our wedding is between $8-10K, well when Jason's mom told her our budget was $8K I think the lady thought that was all for her to work with.  $8-10K is for our whole wedding.  So when the lady gave us an appox of $6100 I knew we needed to think of something else.  So we are back to square one and rethinking ideas.

3. Sundays have turned into Family Funday.  For the past 3 Sunday's we've been loading the girls up and heading to the delta.  We find a little beach and hang out with friends.  Some of our friends have a boat and some of them ride jet skies.  We hang out and the girls play in the water or try to build sandcastles.  Its been a lot of fun.  After hanging out on the water we all then go out to dinner together.

4.  Kaylee is attending the last 3 weeks of summer school to get herself prepared for the new school year coming up.  Today was her first day back and she had a great day.  She said she had a good day and she was so excited to see all of her friends again!

5.  I'll be back to blogging good stuff soon.  Here are some fun posts to look forward to...
