An afternoon bath & a good book

In the middle of the afternoon last week {2.11.13} the baby smelled of stinky throw up.  I knew then that it was time for a bath.  When the older girls heared the mere mention of *bath*, their clothes were off in .5 seconds are were running to the bathroom.  I stopped them and told them that I was going to give baby sissy a bath first and then they could take a bath.  I started running Kendall's bath water and made it as far as getting her undressed before 2 little girls were in there standing behind me naked saying "mom were ready to get in".
I continplated whether to give them all a bath again after my last experience with them.  But the look of excitment on their face, I knew I couldn't tell them no.  So here I was again with 3 little girls in the tub hoping that I'd keep more water in the bath tub this time compaired to last time.  There was lots of splashing from all of them but I'm happy to say that this experience was much better than the last.

After a nice warm bath we all headed into Kaylee's room to get all dried off and put our jammies on.  Yes I dressed my girls in jammies in the afternoon but hey we weren't going any where the rest of the day, so I thought it was perfectly ok.  Kaylee dressed herself while I hurried and got Keira dressed, I then attended to the baby while the girls sat nicely reading books {their hair is a mess because I hadn't brushed it yet, they were reading so nicely I didn't want to interupt them}.  After drying the baby off and putting her diaper on, I set a book in front of her and she loved it.  She's starting to be able to recognize colors or shapes or something cause she gets so excited when I do it.
I love that the girls love to read. When it gets to quiet in the house it's either one of two reasons why, they are getting into mischief or they are reading.  I love that Keira will pick a stack of books and then sit in a corner of her room and read.

  3. So cute! My girls love baths and always strip off their clothes before we're ready too. Brielle's new thing is she whips off her diaper and runs to find us, screaming "I'm naked!" lol...it was pretty cute until the day she whipped off a dirty diaper in the hallway :-0 haha

  4. seriously!! Your kids are SOO cute! This sounds like our afternoon yesterday. A bath is the only way to keep Gracie in one place for very long. And I totally dressed both girls in PJ's by 4PM too!
