Family Pictures Part 1

The morning started out NOT good and it had nothing to do with the girls.  I got up at 7:30, I had washed my hair the night before and put some leave in conditioner in it and then put it in a high bun.  So when I woke up and started to straighten it, it was looking really greasy.  So then I tried to curl it to see if it would look better, it didnt!  Jason came upstairs and the first thing he said was "your not wearing your hair like that are you?"  Well what am suppose to do.  The girls had woken up about 8:15.  I put them in Keira's crib and turned the TV on for them and then stuck my head under that faucet in the bath tub and rewashed my hair, blow dryed it and then straightened it, looked so much better.  NOTE: don't put leave in conditioner and then try to straighten your hair it = GREASY HOT MESS!  Now it was Kaylee's turn to have her hair done and well her hair wasn't coroperating either, so I straightened it and then just left it cause I would do her hair when we got to his grandmas.  So we load up everything in the car and head to his grandmas new ranch.

We got there and we ate some lunch and looked around, the new ranch is BEAUTIFUL and HUGE.  It's 700+ acres, we didnt even get to see all of it.  They have these two awesome stone buildings on the property that were built in 1816, really cool.  After looking around we get the girls dressed in their matching outfits made by my mama.  They looked so adorable!

We headed down the road a little bit to the stone building.  We unload the props and things that we'll need and head to the house.  We get the girls set up in the window of this building and Jason takes a test shot and then goes to look at it and the camera says "NO CARD IN CAMERA"  OMFG I left the house over an hour away and didn't put the card back in the camera!!! You have got to be kidding me.  Good thing Jason's aunt Jill was there with her camera and her card worked in our camera, but she was on the totally other side of the ranch.  It was ridicously HOT yesterday like 88 so we went down and waited for her for like 45 minutes under this beautiful tree.  So she finally came and the card worked and we got the show on the road.  Well after waiting all that time and it being so hot Kaylee decided she was OVER IT and didn't want to take pictures.  OMG is my worst nightmare coming true, are we not going to get any cute pictures cause Kaylee is being a 2.5 year old.  So we got a few before she started getting crazy and then daddy pulled her aside and they played letting her take pics of herself, which she thought was awesome.  So after about 15 minutes she was ready to join Keira again and daddy became the tickle monster, which is how we got some awesome pictures

  

We then changed the girls and headed back down to this gorgeous big tree to take pictures of the 4 of us which didn't end up turning out at all so we got more awesome pictures of the girls together and some great ones of daddy with the girls.

I love how the pictures of Jason and the girls turned out.  I took pics with the girls just like that but I didn't like ANY of the ones we took.  So we are headed back up there next weekend to take more cause we didn't even take any family ones and we have some we want to take of the girls by themselves.  Plus I think we are going to be doing Keira's birthday pictures as well.  So her 12 month pics, her in her birthday outfit and even her smash cake pictures.  We will be more prepaired next weekend and we will know what we need to do to make it go smooth, like for me to not forget the card in the camera!  haha
