A picnic in the backyard & other randomness

On Monday when we returned back to grandmas house after spending the day at home. Grandma got home 20 minutes after we got there. When she walked in she asked if we wanted to get stuff together to go outside and have a picnic. The screamed YES with excitement. So grandma got the food ready while the girls & I grabbed a blanket and headed outside to set it up. She brought out crackers, cheese, salami and plums. We sat outside enjoying the cooler weather and our picnic snack before dinner. After our picnic the girls decided they wanted to play baseball. I think a tee ball set for Christmas is in order for the girls. After baseball, grandpa would have been proud to see the girls running around the cones like they do in football (grandpa is a football coach in town).
After running around the cones, grandma wanted to go check on the chickens. We picked up the trey of food so the dog wouldn't get it and headed out to the chicken pen. The girls love checking for eggs and feeding them. It was Kaylee's turn to feed the chicks and she shakes the bucket of food and all the chicks come running. After feeding the chicks we came inside for the girls to take a bath and then get ready for bed.

I will say these past 9 days not having to cook dinner has been awesome! Chasing these girls and trying to find stuff to do to keep us busy has been so tiring so not having to cook has been nice. So for the next 9 days I am going to thoroughly enjoy not having to cook or think of dinners that need to be made.

We are down to the single digits in the countdown till daddy's home. As of today Thursday July 19th we only have 9 days. We have been keeping track at home on Kaylee's easel. I can't wait for Jason to be home. 17 days without him sucks. It makes me really appreciate everything he does for our family.

This week during nap time I've been working on baby blankets for baby k and lots of projects for decorating the girls room. I can't wait to get everything all decorated in there. If I can recreate the vision I have in my head their room will be too cute. I will be giving no speak peeks on the blog until its fully done. But if you follow me on onstage am then you've seen a little sneak peek. I am glad that this week is flying by. I'm almost 25 weeks along and this kid has been giving me some big kicks and has found her new favorite spot up in my ribs, which doesn't feel awesome at all. I have my 26 week check up next Friday where we'll figure out when I'm gonna take my glucose test and get my Rh shot (which I need by 28 weeks). I'm really really hoping that this time around I pass my one hour glucose test and not have to do the 3 hour one. I had to do the 3 hour one with both Kaylee and Keira cause my numbers were off by a few points, not fair. We will be enjoying grandmas birthday this Friday (the 20th). While we were at Michael's getting supplies for the girls room, I was trying to figure out a cute gift to get for Jason's mom. Kaylee wanted to go down the unfinished bird house isle. So the girls agreed upon a cute birdhouse, I got this cute white picket fence, got some green piping to use as grass and then got some small flowers to use as like a garden. It turned out so cute. (grandma doesn't check the blog that often so I can show you a picture)

Ok I'm done rambling enjoy some pictures now (all out of order of course)

  3. The bird house turned out cute!

And, oh my word, that blanket is to die for! I wish you lived by me so you could teach me how to make one! I would love to do that while I was sitting here (although I don't have a sewing machine so it would be pretty hard :).

    1. Thank you, kaylee had fun painting it.

Thank you. The blanket was a little bit of a pain to make just trying to keep all the corners & everything straight. But I like it and I have one more to make

  4. The blanket looks great! I like the way you added the monogram :-) I've actually never made a blanket because somehow we always ended up with a ton as baby gifts!

I'm jealous of you not having to cook LOL.

    1. Thank you. I decided to make some cause when I thought we were done having babies I either sold the blankets or took them to goodwill. Kaylee sleeps with only her Olivia blanket & Keira has 3 blankets of her own

I'm enjoying ever second of not having to cook. 8 more days and then it's back to reality!!
