26 Months Old

Miss Kaylee Elizabeth,

Mommy is a day early but that's ok cause we have a lot going on this week.

You are 26 months going on 16.  It seems like your growing up way to fast.  I really do enjoy this age though.  You are such a funny little girl, some of the phrases that come out of your mouth make Mommy & Daddy laugh.

When you were younger you were such a ham when mommy took the camera out, well now that your a BIG GIRL you don't want your pictures taken at all!  Which makes mommy sad, cause I love taking pictures and you make me work to get some good pictures of you.  But there are sometimes when you surprise and you take great pictures.

Shoe Size: 6-7

Panties: 2T/3T

SLEEPING:  You have been the best sleeper.  Since you were 4 weeks old you've slept through the night (if you could only give your sister some tips, so she will sleep through the night too).  You've been sleeping in your big girl bed for 7 months and you transitioned awesomly (is that a word).  You go to bed at 8:30 and wake up around 8:00.

NAPS:  Yes you still takes nap and you still need to take them, cause there are days when you don't and by 6pm you turn into a whiny monster.  You go down for your nap around 12:30 and you sleep for about 2-3 depending on how hard you played in the morning.

EATING:  You are a great eater and I often ask myself daily where the heck you put all the food you eat.  You are like a human garbage disposal.  You eat yogurt for breakfast, you graze until lunch, you eat lunch and then head for a nap you wake up from a nap and graze till dinner, you eat ALL your dinner.  Like I said I have no idea where you put it all.  I think you can eat more food than mommy!

Some Phrases that make mommy & daddy laugh

* You grab your snack and run over & say "wanna a taste"

* "mom Kara's crazy"

* tried a salt & vinegar chip, spit it out & said "eww no like at all"

* "aww man not again"

* "mom I so excited" you say this while jumping up & down

* "mom you saved me"

* "oh my dear"

Where you learned some of these phrases is beyond me!

• you can count to 13
• we started potty training June 20th and you are fully potty trained as of July 11th
• you love the TV show The Fresh Beat Band & you know all their names
• you sing songs
• you try to do a summersault by yourself
• you stick your finger to your mouth & say "Hmmm what you think"

• Shapes you know: circle, square, diamond, star, heart, rectangle, triangle, oval, pentagon, cresent & octagon
• Colors you know: black, orange, white, green, blue & pink
• you've turned into such a little fish, you love the swimming pool
• you can jump into the pool
• you can jump off the ground
• you love to read your books

You are totally a daddy's girl and wants to be with daddy at all times.  I love the bond that you & daddy have.  I love seeing you get so excited when daddy comes home from work or from being gone for a couple hours.  I know daddy gets excited too.

You are such a great big sister!  You want to help mommy with everything involving sissy.  When your playing you want sissy to come play with you.  You don't really like to share your favorite toys with Keira.  But you know how to make her laugh and cry.  But there are times when I look at you with your sister and you will be sitting next to her rubbing her back or rubbing her hair.  It's the cutest thing.  I love watching the bond grow between you too.

I am thankful that I've been so lucky to be able to stay home with you and watch you grow into the beautiful, sassy, engergentic little girl
