25 Months Old

Kaylee,

You are 25 months old today.  I cant believe it's been a month already since we celebrated your 2nd birthday.  Over this last month it seems like you've learned so much.

Your vocabulary amazes me everyday.  You learn new phrases everyday.  Your sentences are becoming longer and sometimes funny!  Some of the stuff that comes out of your mouth makes me laugh and then makes me wonder "where the heck did you learn/hear that from"

Here are some funny phrases that you've said

* "gimme right now mom" (you say this with the most straight face ever which makes me laugh

* "oh Keira you so cute"

* "hurry up mom with pen & give it back"

You are funny, to smart for your own good, sweet when you want to be, loving, caring, sassy, independant and a great big sister.  The bond that is forming between you and your sister is amazing.  I love to watch the two of you interact together.  I just hope that as you both get bigger than your bond grows and grows.

Diaper: 4 (1/2 potty trained - goes #2 on the potty)

• You love to sing & dance
• You can count to 10
• You are OBSESSED with stickers (I find them all over the house)
• You love to color & color with your chalk
• You always want to be outside playing
• You are 100% a daddy's girl

Everyday you make our living room look like this!!  Mommy doesn't bother cleaning it up until after you go to bed cause if I clean it up it will end up looking back like this!

• You know all the names of the Yo Gabba Gabba characters
• Shapes that you know - CIRCLE, SQUARE, DIAMOND, STAR, HEART, RECTANGLE, OVAL & TRIANLE
• You can point out and recognize numbers 1-10 in random order
• You are 50% potty trained.  You go #2 on the potty.  We will be working on going pee pee on the potty soon.  You will tell me when you need to go #2 but not when you need to pee.
• Colors you know - PINK, GREEN, WHITE & BLACK

You aren't to sure about the pool this year.  You are more cautious.  Last year we would put floaties on you and you would be a little fish.  We would have the hardest time getting you out of the water.  This year you aren't to sure of swimming by yourself.  I think you will come around, you've gotten better.

You are recognizing people's facial expressions.  You can tell when people are happy, sad, mad and excited.  You love to make silly faces all the time.  You still throw some tantrums when you don't get your way, which is still pretty much all the time! LOL  You do have a set of lungs on you, that's for sure.

• You are still a great sleeper at night & at nap time.  You go to bed at 8:30 and wake up around 8.  You take a nap around 12:30 for 2.5 - 3 hours.
• You are starting to play pretend with your dolls and toys, its cute to watch
• Can draw a circle and straight lines
• You make your little sister laugh when you stand up on the couch and then say "2 1 blastoff " and then fall, it makes her laugh every time.
• You are still a great eater, I haven't found a whole lot that you wont eat.  You don't like blackberries & tomatos.

You still enjoy going to playgroup to play with your friends.  We haven't been since Easter but hopefully we'll be back to playing with friends soon.  Its great for you to be able to interact with kids & learn to share!  Which you are getting better about sharing your toys with Keira.

We've been spending LOTS of time outside playing on your swing set that you got for your birthday.  Now that we have the bucket seat you and your sister sit in it together and swing.  You both have a blast.  Your not to sure about the slide cause you slide down pretty fast and always fall on your butt.  But it's fun to see you having so much fun.

Happy 25 months baby girl.  Though somedays you make me want to pull my hair cause your not listening or cause your having a screaming fit, all the good days we have together out weigh all those bad days.
