Sewing Project - Skirt, top & matching bow

This weekend I was feeling quite crafy.
The weather was crappy and so we did a lot of hanging out inside and playing.
We didn't do anything fun, we stayed in our pj's and just had family time.

Saturday while the girls took a nap I started on a new skirt for Keira.  I made her another twirl skirt but with a smaller waist band.  I first hemed the bottom with white thread and when I heald it up, I didn't like it at all.  So I left the skirt and moved on to do some house cleaning.

Sunday I went back to work on Keira's outfit while the girls napped.  I wripped out the hem at the bottom and re did it with a green colored thread so it doesn't show up as much and I love the way it turned out.  I then decided to try to my luck at a onesie with a K on it and I love how that turned out too.  I'm starting to get the hang of it.  After I did all that I knew I wanted to make her a bow to match but I didn't want to do a rosette hair clip.  So I logged on to pinterest to see some of my pins and decided to make a fabric flower hair clip.  Those look hard to make but it was actually really easy.

I love how her whole outfit turned out.
My next project Ruffle Pants for the girls!

Thanks to daddy for his help, he got Keira to smile BIG!

UPDATE on Miss Keira:  My HAPPY girl is back!  The next day after my "rough week post" she was back to her old self a little bit and into the weekend she was much better.  I am so happy to have my girl back.  She's back to laughing, playing and running around.  So thank you for all the well wishes, hopefully the worst of it is over.

After the girls go to Gradma's house later today, Jason and I are headed out to run a few errands.  All of us except Keira will be in Jason's brothers wedding in April.  So we are headed to get a bridal shower gift and then to Wal Mart to get some fabric and shirts.  It's a gloomy Presidents Day so we'll be haning out inside.  I'm going to be looking through my St. Patrick's Day pins to see what crafts we can do.  I cant wait to start decorating for Easter and getting cute little things for the girls.  Kaylee actually remembers Easter from last year and going out to find eggs, so it will be fun to watch both girls looking for eggs this year.  I'm almost finished with their Easter outfits, I need to figure out how I want to do their shirts.

Happy President's Day!
