Project: Halloween Sign

I have been inspired again by Pinterest
I swear this is the best site ever!
I have found so many great ideas from this site.

Since Halloween is a little over a month away, I wanted to make a cute Halloween sign I found while searching on Pinterest.

So I had intended to do all of our feet.  Mine, Daddy, Kaylee & Keira's....BUT daddy's feet were way to big for the canvas' that I bought.  So I decided to eliminate mine & daddy's foot prints and just do the girls.

I painted the canvas with black paint waited 30 minutes and then painted a second coat.  I waited for the girls to wake up from their nap before doing their foot prints.

Once Keira woke up from her nap I knew she would be hungry and want a snack so I put her in her high chair and gave her some puffs while I painted her foot, she didn't even notice.  So I got her foot painted and when I went to put her foot on the canvas she moved.  I then took the black paint and painted over the white and waited a few mintues for it to dry.  It was dry and I tried again this time SUCCESS!  I waited for it to dry and then painted on the orange bow and the eyes.  I let it dry and waited for Kaylee to get up to do her.

Kaylee finally woke up and I gave her a snack while I painted her foot.  She was easy and I had to do her foot print twice too.  The first one came out to light and you couldn't really see it to well, so I painted over it waited for it to dry and tried it again....SUCCESS again.

I used some stickers I had laying around, they are silver and sparkle the bad part was that I only had one letter L so I had to improvise and I used the #7 as L's.  I love how it turned out.  It was really easy and was a lot of fun to do with the girls.  It is now proudly displayed by the front door, so that I can show it off to everyone.  We will be doing a lot more projects that include hand and feet prints.  Since I love the way it turned out I may do one for Christmas too!
